Breakfast was excellent - a fry up without the fat The front door wasn't supposed to be opened from the outside, so someone had to be in the vicintiy to let you in |

dirty, disrepair, staff dirty, absolute disgrace do not know how still operating as a hotel, wish I had taken note of previous reviews. Gave us 2 rooms to use as shower did'nt work either hot or freezing, 2nd room no better. would nto stay if it was free. |

Sheets were clean (thank God!) Blood stain on wall (one room) - 'brown' marks near toilet on wall (other room). Curtains hanging off rail, grubby stairs, cleaning stuff left out in hall etc etc... |

The breakfasts were good, however they didn't really cater for vegetarians although I had informed them before I stayed there that I would be wanting a meat-free breakfast. The smell and the mould in the en-suite; damp walls; wallpaper coming away from the walls; cracked paint on the balcony doors; broken furniture; the noise until 2am from the bar directly below our room. |

The location is great, that is all you can say positively about the 'hotel'. The 'lounge' areas were open to the street for the general public (a loud West Indian Disco was in full flow) therefore there was no where for guests to relax. The windows/doors to the balcony could not be closed and like the bathroom they are in a dire state of disrepair. The whole 'hotel' is a complete shocker and I would be stunned if any organisation has given it any form of accreditation!!! |

It was close to the local pub! And thats the only thing!!! The shower was appallingly slow, the decor was tatty, the wooden floor was not finished, the stairs were like climbing Mount Everest. Overall it was very disappointing. For the same money, we could have stayed in a Premier Lodge and had a far superior room and service....Never again!! |

Staff were pleasant, down to earth and helpful, and didn't discriminate about my disbility. All in all it was superb value for money, and it as a great shame that there is not more availablility of affordable single en suite accommodation. One of the doors to the balcony would not close let alone lock, and the noise from the road was a little disturbing, plus when it was breezy being on the sea front it was a little cold. |
