no heating (Mid December) lift not working. not very clean. full of foul mouthed Mancunians !!!
Near enough to all the buzz of Blackpool but also out of the bustle excellent size room
Windows didn't open and the heating was too hot for us sorry
Good full English breakfast and very good hot coffee. Girl on reception, very pleasant and helpful, also lady (from Fleetwood) on breakfast service etc on the Monday morning was very warm and friendly.
Hotel definitely looking a little tired and could do with more attention to cleanliness of hallways/stairwells (as you go up the stairs from the reception to the left is filthy - a decent manager would have noted this long ago). Although the room was 'clean' it was obvious that only the necessary had been done.
The waiter service at breakfast, and the location of hotel was really good
The location was excellent. The staff were very helpfull and pleasent especially kimberly who offerd us another room when we realised ours didn't have a shower.
Paint peeling off walls.dirty carpets throughout.ceiling tiles stained and damaged.very cold room cudnt get radiator to work.cracked sink in ensuite. Curtains that were dirty and didn't fit windows.paid £62.00 for a double room and expected better to be honest. This hotel needs a lot of work and a makeover. They was a bar but nobody available to serve my friend when she wanted a drink.all in all abit of a let down won't be rebooking unfortunatly.
Breakfast was good and served efficiently.
Lounge was to dull and unfriendly although the staff did their best. Hotel could do with a face lift in some areas. There were holes in some of the bedding. There was nothing totally bad but equally there was nothing excellent.
Great location on sea front and close to shops, bars and restaurants, parking at front of hotel. good full English breakfast.
room, facilities, food.
For a two star hotel it was as expected , basic but nice enough. Relatively clean and comfortable. Great location to walk to all of the attractions and nightlife , yet far enough out that it was peaceful at night .
Dodgy shower , difficult to use . Very limited breakfast choices , but nice enough.
Kimberley on reception was brilliant, fantastic welcome. Everything was clearly explained. Room was a good size, with an en suite, which was clean and functional. Shower was hot and quite powerful. Breakfast was lovely, choice of cereals, fruit and yogurt, then you could order what ever you wanted to eat as a hot breakfast, we went with the full English, there was loads of toast and a good selection of marmalade/jam with butter. Tea and coffee were in plentiful supply. Easy check out.
The heating was on full blast, it was boiling hot, not a complaint as we just opened the window. Personally, I'd put a sign at the door of the dining room saying, please sit where you like, help yourself to cereal etc at the self serve bar and then your breakfast order will be taken by our waiting staff.
Staff. Breakfasts Value for money
location...value.. helpful attentive staff nice comfortable bfast room..nice bfast too..couldnt fault it.. shame bout the rest...needs updating...
lack of maintenance in the bedroom.. poor decor/carpets/bedding..alot of stairs..draughty windows..old type bathroom/plumbing.. terrible mattress...noisy guests at 3 in the morning...
Staff were very friendly
My room was smelly and foysty. The bathroom was freezing old and unsafe for my child to go in.
The breakfast was ok.
Everything else. Grubby, dingy & generally a very poor quality hotel for the price we were charged.
The location is great
I booked in for 2nights. I was ready to leave at 11pm the first night but was to tired to drive. By morning I was so ill with having had an asthma attack because of the damp and mould in the room I was forced to go home. I had to stop to be sick on the M^ and the police helped get me home. Despite being assured by reception that they would get the management to contact me. Sweet sod all as yet. I have no intention of letting this drop. Room filthy and paper hanging. Floor not cleaned from prior tenant. Breakfast disgusting,(and I was the first 1 served).
Paid 70 pounds for myself and my nine year old to stay here for one night so we could visit the pleasure beach. The rooms look lovely on the website but don't be fooled. We were given the smallest room ever, with no heating, two thin sheets which were ripped on the bed and a window that didn't close properly, not good in gale force winds. The room itself was shabby and dirty. Stains on the ceiling, paint peeling off the walls and dirty net curtains up at the window. I would not recommend this plane to anyone, overpriced, dirty and unapoealing. Do not stay here!!!
It was clean, staff helpful, shower was fantastic. Lovely decorated room. Was only there 1 night, but will definetly be back.
The waitress at breakfast wasn't overly helpful. Wasn't offered a choice on what I had on my cooked breakfast, it was just served up, ( with 3 things I cannot eat
location, staff and breakfast excellent
front reception area needs a little tender care. a lick of paint on front doors. a bottle of bleach and a little elbow grease and a duster in reception area would create a better impression. it lacks " pride in our place".
The location was good for where we wanted to be but would be a bit far out for the central illuminations
The rooms were absolutely tiny. The bathroom I think used to be a former wardrobe! The carpets had seen better days and the whole room needed re-decorating. Toilet seat was broken. Whomever is responsible for waiting staff need to implement some training as after the initial tea etc you had to try and attract their attention.
I would not tell anyone to go here again
Comfortable bed Cheap all we wanted was somewhere to sleep Plenty of hot water Helpful staff
Very tired looking, public hall and staircases shabby, carpets threadbare in places. No showers and very small bath.
Location is excellent; sea view at breakfast, which was very nice. Staff were pleasant and friendly
Having booked our twin room long before arrival I was very disappointed to be told we had been given a double as there were no twins available. Lucky it was a good friend. Could have done with more tea bags and milk in the room.
Hotel is in an appalling state and the poor staff had to take the brunt of very unhappy customers!! Not recommended to any one looking at this hotel! How Blackpool council have overlooked this hotel is beyond me!!!!!!
