The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The room was quite warm but once we opened a window it was fine to sleep in.
Excellent,friendly and helpful staff.
Lack of hair drier and heated towel rail.
Great hosts, lovely room with very comfy beds. Beautiful back gardens.
Location Great Looking Hotel
Staff were a little rude, breakfast the worst we had on a 5 day trip compared to cheaper B&B's.
The grounds and location.
Very small bedroom. My husband could hardly get in on his side of the bed. No drawer space. No lounge but this may have been becasue a wedding was expected on the Saturday. Functions seem to get priority. Poor breakfast if you did not have a cooked breakfast. Only cereal and orange juice. Don't have sausages. Awful pillows.
Clean hotel with a nice comfortable room close to Abergavenny.
Had to wait around for reception staff and the shower was difficult to get to a decent temp
Lovely clean hotel with plenty of space
Beautiful scenery, very big bathroom with bath & shower, friendly & helpful staff, let me put my motorbike on sun terrace for added security.
nICE HOTEL IN GREAT SETTING.wE HAD FAMILY ROOM WHICH WAS ROOMY AND CLEAN.BREAKFAST WAS OK AND EASY PARKING.
Good quite location, with the atmosphere of a prewar country residence.
Lovely hotel set in beautiful countryside. Very helpful staff and nice room.
Nothing, it was great!
Good food pleasant staff handy location
The owner and staff were super nice and friendly. Family room were big and spacious.
The towel has some (just tiny bit that you can sniff it when you wipe your face) cigarette smell even after we ask for a new one on day 2.
Very uncomfortable in the dining room and lounge no privacy
Good food. We had dinner and dessert which was really tasty and good value. Friendly staff.
Easy access off main road. Nice country views.
Hopeless "continental breakfast" Never before in a good hotel have I ever been offered corn flakes and milk, full stop! (plus a glass of orange juice). No lift.
Location, friendly staff, good food.
The welcome was wonderful. Food excellent and catered to my specific needs which are difficult to accommodate. Very Friendly staff. Immaculately kept. Decor is fresh and modern whilst still retaining period features. Very classy gentry type establishment but warm and friendly.
The rooms and bar were cold and therefore the linen & towels felt slightly damp. To have popped the heating on for an hour or two would have made the stay far more comfortable and perfect. I am only 43 so an elderly guest would really have felt it.
Peaceful after a very busy day. Excellent breakfast.
The scenery was stunning and the Staff were delightful, friendly and very accomodating. We are already planning our next visit, with fingers crossed for better weather.
The room was a little warm for me, but just right for the wife ;-) the usual male, female issues ha ha so overall there was very little that we didnt like A1 Service
Very friendly welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. Very nice room.
Great breakfast Cosy comfy room Good price for single stay
Bathroom a bit chilly!
Booked in for two nights and had to leave after one as there was an emergancy back home.Hotel only charged me for the one night even though they were quite entitled to charge me for the two. Its a simple little thing but one that would ensure my patron when next in the area.
