Enjoyed by stay, the breakfast very nice. Will stay here again
Ended up being upgraded to a suite - they tried to bump us out to another hotel in Euston, allegedly due to building works but most likely only due to the usual 110% booking policy designed to keep the hotel full whilst inconveniencing customers on a regular basis. They wouldn't budge until I mentioned the reviews they were going to be getting online as a result, whereupon the manager offered us an upgrade in the same property instead. The suite was excellent, and so were the staff.
The boolkng policy. Disgusting. Also the breakfast was offered at £17.50 on booking.com, and was only £9.90 at checkin. I'm glad we didn't order it in advance or I would have had another fight in reception.
Staff were at least courteous.
Very disappointed to find on arrival that we were being moved to a different hotel due to maintenance issues, which they said we had been advised of. We hadn't. The rooms in the other hotel were tiny. The first double room can be described as a single at best. We complained and were moved to one marginally bigger but still not good at all. Not good value for money. Staying at a premier inn next time!
Close the the West End Lovely Room Nice Hotel
Offered on arrival another hotel the other side of town. When I explained to the staff that I booked the hotel because I wanted to be close to the West End the staff quickly arranged a room on site.
Small room and bathroom - but we knew this before we booked.
Hotel changed the location of my stay 1 day before visit and provided a complimentary breakfast as a gesture of goodwill. Location of the revised hotel was not as good as the hotel originally booked and was farther from my destination. Room was ok but noise from adjoining rooms Staff could have been friendlier and more helpful
Underfloor heating in the bathroom. Upgrade to clubroom and closet.
Light switches above the bed were only available on one side and there were no individual bedlights
Food. Room service with great curry. Good value for money. Service. Reception getting updated so clearly a make shift reception, let down initial thought but made up for it quickly. Location Cleanliness Quiet
Bed was two singles with a zip up to make bigger. Didn't fit the massive bed I had in the suite. So falling in to the middle of the zip was annoying.
Comfortable room Quiet location
Efficient, friendly staff. Big room (Club Suite/Double).. Quiet Hotel. Being able to leave luggage securely after checking out whilst we went sight seeing :-)
Maid knocking & walking straight into the room with a vase of 3 carnations??!! The room being awfully hot plus under floor heating in the en-suite!
We arrived to be told we had been called constantly and emailed constantly to let us know that the hotel had been over booked and we were to go to their sister propety! This was all a lie AND people were checking in next to us! We got to the sister propety and found our rooms to be no bigger than shoe boxes! Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
Decent size room Good Full breakfast offered Friendly helpful staff
Middle of renovation. Need to refresh to room's carpet
Quiet boutique hotel with small but comfy rooms. Double beds are wide with plenty of pillows and a throw. Wardrobe and desk cleverly hidden behind panelling. The breakfast is a buffer (which I personally do not like in hotels - I prefer cooked to order) but here the buffet is decent.
The shower rooms are badly designed. The floor slopes to make the water drain - but it doesn't work and so the room gets flooded. Also the toilet roll holder is a floor level and this gets soaked too. These shower rooms need redesigning as they are hopeless.
Free upgrade to club room, very nice.
Great location. Lovely hotel staff and room. Will Stay here again nxt year!
The Park Grand Kensington gave us complementary breakfasts both days and taxi transfer to Paddington train station for the airport express.
The hotel was not able to accommodate us due to apparent building renovations. However, they did transfer us to the Park Grand Kensington.
Bed caved in the middle. Should have the mattress replaced. I only stayed one night but had I stayed another, I would have refused to sleep in that bed. Room 327
service was amazing happy to stay again
I stayed twice in October once solo and the other as a couple both occasions on business. The staff were most welcoming and even when the foyer was being refurbished there ws no hassle.! We occupied a lovely room on the Ground Floor - I think 215 and on the second occasion as a solo on the second floor - again a good room. We shall stay on our next visit. !
very small rooms
modern feel to hotel
needed more than one pillow
Location, staff, cleanliness,
Rooms were rather small but I had read about this in advance of booking so it was not an issue.
Nice comfy bed - room good temperature - breakfast was ok - only scrambled eggs and continental breakfast was a bit limited for the price but staff very efficient and quick service
Total disregard for traveller needs. we know that often business plans change, hotel would not consider a percentage of initial booking while the traveller changes dates
