Exceptionally friendly staff, first-rate accommodations for the area, and great value for money for London.
Cleanliness free wifi
Bedsheets - uncomfortable
Very friendly staff to make your life easier
Quite area, friendly and helpfull staff, clean room
The noice from the heating system
The staff were friendly the room was clean and compact as described with a little bit of extra fun in searching out the facilities which were ingeniously hidden away within the room. My special diet was accommodated with ease.
Bed amazing good location great staff
1 usable socket in room I had to take the mirror down an move it so partner could straighten get hair
clean room and location
The bed was incredibly comfy
Don'y expect the room to look as big as the picture, mine was tiny! only just enough room to walk around the bed, no chair to lay your items on.
only thing i did not like was having to put phone on charge on floor as no plug sockets by bed side cabinets thats it
The hotel was a perfect location for us. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very helpful and friendly Neil definitely be going back
Good location, helpful staff
Poor storage facilities for clothes
VERY SMALL ROOM
Nice pretty location, close to the tube. I was able to have my room changed as I didn't like the initial room that was given to me. Friendly staff.
Everything was great, clean, quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast, easy access to London attractions
Been staying here a while now so always feel welcome. Clean rooms with comfy beds with throws and cushions. Rooms can be small but I was upgraded to a Club room which has more space.
I say this every time but the bathroom design is poorly thought out. You end up flooding the whole floor no matter how careful you are.
Outstanding value for money Bright modern facilities Well located near to Paddington railway station Good breakfast at reasonable price Friendly efficient staff
Room very compact but at that price what can you expect
Paid £20 in case of any damage but not had this returned to my bank
It was clean and the staff was very kind.
The double bedroom was very small, the bed itself was a tiny double, there was no minbar nor drinking water for the guests (that in a 4stars hotel I would expect), at breakfast we were accommodated in a small table in a "under the stairs" area with no windows.
the staff were helpful, arranged any help you needed for example, printing off information for sightseeing etc. nothing was too much trouble
Nothing, it was all as expected
Staff And facilities
Bed could be better
It was minutes from Paddington which was great for luggage! Easy to find and set back from the busy road!
I asked for a room upstairs months before stay due to reading comments that basement rooms were noisy! We were put in basement and it was noisy!
Free wifi, good location, quiet, looks lovely from the outside- a very pretty part of London.
Where to begin?? The first room we were shown to was abysmal. It was like descending into a dingy dungeon. It overlooked a wall and had a very pungent, musty odour. Appalling, heavy decor and chipped, worn furniture added to the sense of oppression in the room. And this was a double deluxe?!! We requested a change. The second room was better. I think we might have been upgraded to a junior suite. We waited over half an hour for food despite the fact that there were only three other people in the atmosphere less restaurant. We were told it was because room service was very busy. We could see the waitress was on her own and over worked. She was pleasant and we felt sorry for her. It was unacceptable. When the food finally arrived it was sub standard. The second night we met family in the restaurant and just ordered tea, coffee and biscuits. Again we waited an unacceptably long time. Please put more staff in the restaurant and please give far more attention to the food!! Our soup tasted like it came from a packet and our cheesecake tasted shop bought and stale. My husband's steak was barely edible, it was so tough. This was a very disappointing hotel. Staff were disinterested on the whole. One or two lovely staff members though. The hotel floor was also insanely bumpy. This is an old building but I fail to see how such an uneven floor passes safety standards. There were slopes, bumps and ramps everywhere. It needs to be urgently levelled out in my opinion. Even the 'do not disturb' sign on the door was worn and tattered - these little things really add to impressions and should not be overlooked. My husband and I were very disappointed overall.
