This small, family-run guest house is 500 metres from the seafront and a 300-metre level walk from Torquay train station and the English Riviera Conference Centre.

The non-smoking, licensed guest house is situated next to parkland in the heart of the English Riviera. It is a 2-minute walk from Torre Abbey and Gardens, and a 10-minute scenic walk from the marina and town centre.

There is ample parking, an outdoor heated swimming pool and a bar. The Parks is pet-friendly and has disabled access. Each room has an en suite bathroom and many rooms are family-size.

A superb full English breakfast consists of bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, sauté potatoes and eggs fresh from a local farm. Also available are morning coffee and afternoon tea, including the famous Devonshire cream tea with scones and clotted cream.

Evening meals are cooked by the resident proprietor with care and attention to detail. Sunday lunches are available on by request. A children's menu includes both healthy and not-so-healthy options.

Area information

Situated in the heart of glorious South Devon, the English Riviera offers something for everyone. At Torquay's waterfront you will find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina.

At night the bay transforms into a wonderland of coloured lights. Torquay has everything from one of Devon's biggest nightclubs to cosy intimate restaurants. The area also offers a wealth of other night-time activities, including a 9-screen multiplex cinema.

Along the 22 miles of English Riviera coastline are 19 beaches and coves, several of which hold coveted awards for cleanliness and water quality. Choose from wide open stretches of sand with beach facilities and watersports or visit one of the many smaller and more secluded coves.

The Parks is located in one of the very few level areas of Torbay, in a convenient position within one of the pleasant parks surrounding the famous Torre Abbey. It is only 300 yards from the golden beaches at Torre Abbey Sands, and Corbyn Head and an enjoyable 5-minute walk from the Riviera International Conference Centre. Torquay town centre is close by, as are theatres and local shops, pubs and excellent restaurants.
