Friendly manager/wife. Dogs welcome. Someone there when we arrived to give info. Good breakfast. Comfortable. Tissue box with only one tissue (have encountered this in other hotels - probably a way of providing but not providing - rather false, Would rather have honesty - I.e no tissue box).

The attention to detail, always taking into account the guests wants/needs/requirements. For example: 1) 'real' milk in a small flask to make tea in the bedroom (instead of those horrible little uht cartons). 2) DVD's & books to borrow during your stay. 3) sweetener provided in addition to sugar at the breakfast table 4) a small container of chocolate/fudge left in the bedroom 5) beautifully clean, fresh, fluffy towels & plenty of them 6) small table & chairs on the patio, with an ashtray on the table for smokers There was nothing we didn't like about the Parks Guest House

Staff very friendly and helpful.excellent English breakfast. Being February and very cold nights,we would have liked the room to be much warmer and as no heating in toilet/shower.an electric blanket would have been a nice bonus.
