food cooked well in morning staff was very help full
the staff here are great, very attentive, sociable, and hard working. dinner in the evenings was spot on, breakfast was always good. we did not like our first room, and the lady on reception was very helpful and moved us promptly.
setting and nautical style of furnishing
Staff were very nice and the choice at breakfast was very good.
The room was too hot and stuffy
Service at breakfast was good
The selection for breakfast was poor and the full English breakfast could have been better ie. the bacon was overlcooked and the baked beans were served mushy.
The ' Smash ' potato with our evening meal
Location was good. Staff friendly and cheerful.
Room was extremely hot. Could not leave window open as it led onto the fire exit (through our room!). Small ineffective fan provided. Shower was a trickle and water temperature difficult to control. Whole decor tired and outdated. Needed a deep clean. Pillows about half an inch thick!
no bar staff bed lumpy gave me back ache dirty never hoovered dust everywhere shower unusable pool ..out of order no entertainment at all
The theme style is fascinating, staff are friendly too.We enjoyed it so much.
staff extremely helpful always happy and smiling. Very good breakfast in the morning. Cannot recommend this property enough.
The Staff, where very friendly, & helpfull. they made us feel welcome.
there was only to things we where not happy with, was (1), not enough room to move in the shower unit. (2) the Fire door upstairs was a bit to close to the stairs, if you was not carefull it could cause an accident & knock you down the stairs.
Very welcoming hotel, good location too. Lovely night sleep in the queen Elizabeth room, 4 poster bed was gorgeous.
Location, quality of breakfast and friendliness of staff.
En-suite facilities. The shower cubicle was VERY small being only 68cms square (25.5" X25.5") resulting in not being able to bend down and continuously banging elbows against the side walls! This is the first hotel that we have stayed at where no shower or shampoo gel has been provided. In conclusion this is a budget class tourist hotel run on a shoe string budget.
The staff were very friendly and always pleased to help us, we liked the happy homely feel of the hotel
We would have liked a little entertainment some evenings
Clean and tidy accomodation, nice Ocean liner themed Hotel. Nice bar and lounge area. Pleasant front garden to relax with a drink. Good location to travel around from. Breakfast very good and provided in an efficient, promot manner. Friendly helpful staff.
Unfortunately unless a coach party is staying-entertainment is not provided. Smallish car park means you may have to park in the adjacent road. Unfortunately the outdoor pool is not available for use.
Lovely fruit and cooked breakfast of highest quality. I had an allergy problem with my mattress and the staff went the extra mile to change sheets and duvets etc. The waitress was lovely too.
Sometimes a long wait for reception staff who were not around.
Whole hotel was old and tired.
Very attractive from the road, lovely gardens, charming period hotel. Great breakfast. Very quiet so very restful and nice to be back a bit from the seafront and in a hotel with character.
TV was stuffed, shower tepid, charming hotel but faded glory. Would be excellent with a refurb.
Nice friendly staff
Furniture and bed very tired and worn. Breakfast timings a bit too short only 8-9 to eat hot food. 8-930 is breakfast window.
NIce looking building from the outside
Rooms were small, decor is out of date,
Absolutely nothing it was possibly the worst hotel on the British isles!
After booking a last minute hotel thinking from the photos this would be an ideal overnight stay. How wrong I was! Dirty, discusting, mouldy, and staff clearly need to go to charm school! Book a travel lodge instead this hotel needs knocking down!
nice and comfort , love to come back
Great room friendly staff great hotel
The area the hotel is in is great sandown a lovely place to vist
The rooms were dirty, not very clean, the breakfast was vile! Went with my mum,as a treat, the food was so bad we got the money back for breakfast, cold, overlooked just plain vile, had many breakfast in hotels but this was 1 if not the worst ever!
That as a group we were able to stay at the same hotel
I stayed here last year. Wasn't that impressed then but rebooked again for this year as my friends were staying there again. The pool was out of service and we were not notified prior to out visit nor was it mentioned when we booked in! Breakfast got smaller with each day and one day I was told to share the tea and toast from the table next to me. Strangers on either side so found this unacceptable. The beds were awful I coukd feel the wooden slats under the mattress digging in and was too frightened to try and turn over as thought the bed was going to collapse. Most definitely won't stay here again and neither will I recommend it as a place to stay! The price was too excessive for the service that was on offer!
