Very friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast was excellent and the bedroom was a good size with a comfortable bed.
The pillows could have been more comfortable.
Friendly staff, comfortable stay, good food
The room was lovely and the parrot!!
The Food. Ordered our evening meal. Fishcakes did not seem homemade and burger not cooked.
From the moment we walked in we were impressed with the hotel. The reception staff were so pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely meal, once again the staff were friendly and after a comfy night's sleep we enjoyed a delicious breakfast - good choice too!
Can't think of anything!
We loved everything about The Pear Tree Inn. Lovely location, fantastic staff and lovely food. The rooms were very nice and the bed was sooooo comfy. We would definately come here again.
Scott behind bar very friendly and helpful and also the girl who worked with him whilst we stayed.
Friendliness of staff
Breakfast, ambiance, comfort and location
Bit difficult to find, maybe a couple of signs would help on the approach
I liked the tranquillity of the location. My room was nice and spacious. The staff was very kind and helpful
I would have appreciated a lamp on the desk.
THe hotel and staff were good
For us the location was not ideal as we would have preferred to be nearer the town
Excellent place to stay easy to find very welcoming
The bed was like sleeping on a wooden bench, very uncomfortable.
Position and grounds
Our room was tired looking. The plugs did not fit in the plug holes. The bathroom was quite dark, and bedside light too dim.
The friendliness of the staff and the help so willingly provided, also the grey parrot, redolent of jungle birds at first light.
Lovely sized rooms Room clean Great price Lovely staff
Very hot and air con too loud to use at night. Bathroom not clean On site restaurant not open until 7pm - too late for children
going home home
It was quiet in the country. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were very happy to serve you. The hotel was very clean and the food was good. The breakfasts were brilliant.
Best sleep ever. Fantastic bed and bedding. Great food. Really friendly staff. Great spot
All of the staff were fantastic and went beyond the call to make our stay perfect
Beds were a bit hard but not the end of the world
As a cheap stopover it was excellent value and well positioned with helpful staff.
A little bit grubby and well worn in places.
The food and grounds
Can't really think of anything
The extra room.
The Hotel itself was perfect.
The twin beds could have been slightly wider. Difficult to find in the dark if one does not know the area.
Everything : the staff, facilities, room, services ... ! We will come back if we happen to travel in the area again.
Price, food very good .
The Hotel was in a lovely setting and only a short car ride from the City centre. We had an evening meal here which was very nice and after a long walk around the city all day it was nice to relax and have a bottle of wine with me knowing that you did not have to drive back to Hotel afterwards. The gardens are lovley.
The staff did not seem friendly. They did not smile or try to make conversation with you, with the exception of one guy at breakfast the next morning. The waiter to served us breakfast was pleasant, friendly, smiled and chatted as he went.
