Nothing. I would never stay here again
Poor heating, dirty bath, could hear other guests through floors and walls. No organisation. Didn't have this booking when we confirmed 1 week before travelling, still didn't have our booking after confirming over phone. Very poor.
welcoming staff and helpful
bit dark in places
Everything, its shocking.
Staff wonderful ,friendly and accommodating , made us feel very welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. Thanks guys!!
it was cheap and cheerful
the area was a little rough
Older style Hotel. Personal service. Great breakfast. Very comfortable bed
Room was clean and comfy. Cooked breakfast was very tasty.
Breakfasts were excellent rooms were large Tea making facilities with plenty of sachets
furniture slightly dated
The room was satisfactory for the price. The location was ideal for our time there.
There appeared to be only one young man running around doing everything. Breakfast service was terrible. We got down at 09:00 and there were no spoons for cereals, no juice, bread ran out, you had to make tea with hotels kettle. To cap it all we were not served our breakfast until 10:00. The owner said it was because everyone had come down at once. There were 8 people to serve.
Very quiet. Good breakfast. Good beer. Nice location. Interesting old buildings.
Toilet rim not cleaned. Noisy, uncomfortable bed.
This was poor service poor food .The only good thing is that the room was clean . This place needs a massive make over everywhere , Would not return to this one i'm afraid .
Four Poster Bed
Not enough lights in room, very dark. Only 1 set of towels in room for a double room.
Hotel badly in need of refurbishment. Although very busy only 1 staff on duty at breakfast & tables not being cleared for other guests coming in for breakfast
Good sized rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, good value
It was a quirky hotel! Old Victorian charm about it. Clean room and comfortable 4 poster bed. Very few guests. The few staff who were on duty were friendly. Obviously is catering niche market - weddings!
Miss match crockery in room. Not enough milk and 1 set of towels. Not much choice of food for lunch or dinner. Breakfast was ok, could have been presented better. Obviously this hotel is not into fine dining much.
The welcome we received on arrival they also upgraded us.
no reasons to dislike this hotel
Our room overlooked the lovely park, and the young man on the night desk was extemely helpful.Breakfast was good and staff very pleasant.
As it was my daughters wedding at 2pm,we couldn't get our keys until after 2pm and would not be able to get them after 12 midnight,so I was very dissapointed that I had to leave the wedding early in order to get my room,so had to leave guests in a hurry.
The Staff without fail Location Quiet
No phone service Breakfast should be served nearer to kitchen in small room, not in the bar
The location was good ,useful for access to cafes and restaurants.
The rooms were very basic,no sign of mineral water or biscuits,as advertised, in the room. The standard of cleaning was poor ,stained pillowslips and overall shabbiness.Dirty laundry bags in the corridor all the time we were there. The staff at breakfast were very nice .Poorly stocked bar.The hotel was obviously quite grand in Victorian times ,but is now looking very jaded.
no tables at breakfast ended up in a room on my own, gave up waiting for cooked breakfast. coffee was a kettle on the bar have to make your own! have to make your own toast, toaster is on the bar, dreadful service. would do travel lodge next time.
