Very steep metal stairs to room
Nice friendly family run hotel. Spotlessly clean room. Very nice, brand new restaurant / bar area.
My room had a small shower rather than a bath. No problem to me, good hot shower.
Lovely room, they have thought of everything even down to cotton wool and a hair dryer. Sumptuous towels, first class wi-fi. Lots of provisions and huge telly.
The stairs to the rooms.
Bedroom was spacious. Breakfast was very good - delicious bacon. Ate in the restaurant which was convenient and good food.
The car park wasn't very big.
Catered for children. Rooms clean and spacious. Lovely breakfast.
Rooms could do with being updated.
I was at the top of one of the buildings and despite being at the front on the road it was quiet. The cooked breakfast was served hot, on a hot plate, quicker than average and was of a good quality.
A narrow drive off a main road with a small car park made parking less than pleasant. The breakfast room was poorly set out, with one table right in front of the cereals so you had to reach past those on the table to get a bowl and cereal box.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Stairs were a bit of a nuisance for small kids, but no major problem!
Wifi was awful. Kept cutting off.
Very enjoyable stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was enough parking and it was a stones throw from the centre of Tamworth. The triple room was fine and Wi-Fi easy to access. Food in the restaurant was nice and affordable with decent selection on the kids menu. will stay there again.
Toilet didn't flush very well and had to ask for milk as staff had forgotten to place it on the complementary tea and coffee facilities. Minor points though as it was a good place to stay.
Very warm, comfortable room. Breakfast very good. Meal in restaurant was superb. Couldn't fault anything.
As my visit was business orientated. And internet access was fundamental to my quality of work, I would go somewhere else next time - the hotels must be able to provide the service! Regards, Kenneth Bannon Angus hgv training ltd Carnoustie Scotland Dd7 7tq
Sorry details above!
Clean and comfortable, in a good location. Friendly owners and staff serving great breakfast with a smile!
clean, room comfortable and warm, food excellent, staff very friendly and helpful
the bed in our room (2) was uncomfortable (lumpy) and creaked with every movement
The staff and customer service were outstanding. The food in the restaurant was delicious and very fairly priced.
The lack of parking and quite limited space within the main hotel
Poor wifi in annex
Was made very welcome thanks
The staff at the. Peel aldergate was very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was excellent lots of things on offer!
The door handle falling of in my hands locking us in the room. But the staff was very helpful in getting someone to the room but had to repair the lock myself. But we was given a free round of drinks of them.
Brekfast good and more than happy to help with any individual request.
You could hear when others moved around in the room upstairs
The friendly welcome, the willingness to please. Good wine. Good food well cooked.
Luckily, I didn't bring my cat; "luckily" because there wouldn't have been enough room to swing it in my single room. The car park resembled the size of my room, there simply isn't enough space, even without my cat.
The staff at the Peel Aldergate Hotel were very friendly. Our stay there was because we were visiting Drayton Manor Park which was only 2.5 miles away which was a very easy route to follow with our sat nav. The rooms were clean and comfortable and their restaurant was excellent. The hotel was very close to the town centre and a children's park was only a short walk away. If we go to Drayton Manor again I will definitely stay at the Peel Aldergate Hotel.
We could not access Wi Fi from our room so had to go to the bar to access it.
rooms were very comfy and food excellent . family of four and was perfect for us . quiet and really nice owners
We stayed at The Peel to attend our friend's wedding locally and found it to be a lovely if somewhat small hotel. Given the listed status of the buildings, the owners have done really well with the space available, but the the rooms are nonetheless small. This does not detract too much from the stay, as it is more than compensated by the quality of the food and how friendly the staff were. We arrived late due to a long journey and lots of traffic, but the kitchen staff stayed on to cook as a great tasting and good quality meal. In the morning, they provided us with an umbrella to protect my wife's wedding outfit from the downpours as we had forgotten ours. The following morning when feeling a little worse for wear, they allowed us a late check out at no extra cost, as we were staying for a great and reinvigorating Sunday lunch! Overall great service
Lovely room with modern clean bathroom with bath and great shower. Bottle of water left in room. My dinner and breakfast were lovely and great value for money! Staff very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful at night.
I booked a night with the Peel Aldergate for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. We both loved the room as soon as we walked in. The 4 poster bed was gorgeous and the room itself had a very cosy feeling to it. It was very close to lots of different shops and we enjoyed a walk around the town after we got there as well
There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. The room was gorgeous, the staff were very friendly & helpful with any questions we had about the town
Allowed us to check in early. Spaceous room, Great shower.
The pillows were a bit thin.
good service and breakfast. Will be great when front of house restaurant opens
room a little small and perhaps marginally overpriced.
