Nothing the web site is completely wrong in its detail of the hotel nothing like what it's says on your site I would not even rate this hotel with a star

Honestly everything It says the food is locally sourced and freshly made All the food was probably from a freezer then microwaved Rubbish you need to alter your discription of the hotel

The Peel Hotel is in a nice quiet location with good walks nearby. The decor of the stairs, landing and bedrooms was very tasteful and in keeping with the type of building. The bedroom was really roomy and the bedding and towels nice and clean. We arrived early but were still made very welcome and shown to our room.

The price, far too high for the location and standard of the hotel. The bathroom needed to be cleaner. The breakfast was not of great quality and would rather have had room only. A couple of nicer touches would have been teabags that were wrapped and liquid soap in the bathroom.

    1. No one there when I arrived 2. Had to ring 3 numbers before I got a answer. 3. Had to wait 15 mins for man to arrive and let me in. 4. I didn't see anyone again!. The hotel was a pub as well which wasn't open. I feel the definishon of hotel is not what this place is! I won't be recommending this hotel to anyone!!!

I used this hotel for a single night stopover on my way to Keswick for a walking holiday. As such it fitted the bill completely, was comfortable, with good food, and pleasant, helpful staff. I would not hesitate to rebook.

Nothing. Leaving was the best part

Everything was horrible. Service was rubbish. Not what you would expect for the money at all. The beds were like sleeping on the floor they were that uncomfortable. I felt sleezy after sleeping there. I didn't even want to go in the shower because the towels didn't smell nice and they were damp. The ceiling had damp patches on it and the exterior wall was that cracked it looked like the building was ready to collapse. I didn't want breakfast as the only cook in the place was the husband and he had just left hospital with a very scabby flaking arm and I just couldn't bring myself to trust him to take extra precautions not to get it in the food. However my husband and son did go to breakfast and they didn't rate it at all. It was all cheap ingredients. On the night of arrival we were told the kitchen was closed due to the husband just leaving hospital. I do understand things happen but it would have been nice to at least had information of other places to eat in the area. It was late and we rang and rang the bell to get some information of were to go but no answer. Millom is a scruffy town with limited anything and we just couldn't find a place to eat on our own. We ended up going to a local spar for sandwiches expecting to eat them in the bar which is the rules of the hotel. No such luck. At 9pm we returned back to find the bar closed. Only by finding the hotels number on the internet were we able to speak with the owner who did apoligise and reopen the bar. If u want a nice place to go and a pleasant place to stay don't go to Millom and please don't go to peel hotel.

Very friendly husband and wife who give a relaxed family feel to this B&B. Very reasonable price for expensive area (The Lake District). Good food, and they will cook you an evening meal if required. Very clean.

Not a hotel as we know them to be. No room service for our four days, but clean towels willingly provided on request. All new and ongoing refurbishment, but choices make it feel old and dated. It is a converted pub in the back streets of a residential area. No facilities (shop, pub, restaurant) within walking distance for evenings. No toiletries, one pillow, very firm bed !

“good budget bed & breakfast and very dedicated owner.” Reviewed 6 August 2013 NEW We are a family of four and stayed at the Peel for 7 nights. The rooms were clean and freshly repainted and on the way to being upgraded with ensuite facilities, new flat screen tvs etc. David the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us. We don't have a car and he offered to take us to Bowness, 45 minutes away and take us back when we had enough, which he did. If there were any queries or problems, they were answered or sorted promptly. We were even driven to Millom Station on departure because it was raining. Full english breakfast was good and you can even have evening meal on demand. If you want a good budget friendly B&B within easy reach of the Lake District by car, within walking distance of some really beautiful coastline and near Black Combe, then you cannot go wrong by staying at The Peel. Room Tip: Ask for a room without a connecting door to another room if you like it quiet!

Not to be given straight away what is on the breakfast menu (jam) and having to ask for it because i don't like asking.

we were stopping over for the night before going to the wildlife park, booking.com said it was 10 miles away, a short drive. Actually it was over 20 miles, and a 45 minute trip. The owner was a lovely chap, but terribly disorganised, the room smelled a bit odd, and he took about 10 minutes in the morning telling me he didn't have any cereal. It was cheap, but a bit of a mistake.
