Late booking but a good one! Newly furbished en-suite , pleasant staff and good food.

Nothing , apart from the snow cancelling Newbury Races next day.

Convenient for Hungerford. Reasonably priced. Good breakfast

We thought it was a bit pretentious under previous owners - in our opinion the new people have kept the quality but reduced the bling.

Price & location were good for me, I had an appointment nearby.

Dinner was not brilliant but OK. Beer was awful but they changed it for bottled. TV needed tuned and I couldn't do it.

A little bit of bar noise makes it's way upstairs in the evening, and the shower requires careful coaxing to not be either scalding or freezing.

The staff were all, without exception, extremely helpful and very pleasant. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I was made to feel very much a special guest.

Shower temperature control was a little temperamental at times but that was all. Certainly not a major criticism.

Room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good in that it was easy to get to and had a nice walking path nearby. Food was good.

The room was a bit small and out of date: furnishings and plumbing.

The staff was superb. The food was excellent. The overall value was the best we experienced during out 8 days in the UK.

It is sort of the middle of nowhere.

The staff, service, food and generally a lovely place to stay. I would recomened the hotel to friends and would certainly come back again when in the area.

The room was very nice, above a spacious and pleasant bar/restaurant. The food is simple pub food, rather than gastro, and you get a lot for your money.

I had no problems, but some may dislike bar noise as half the rooms are above the bar/restaurant - although it was v quiet on the night I went. Some may want more from the restaurant, but fine diners can easily travel to the neighbouring towns for more choice. The inn is on the A4, so expect road noise.

The Pelican Inn was clean and the room spacious. Perfect for our one night stay in the area. Staff were all very helpful. Bar was realaxed.

Great place for an overnight stop in the area. Rooms are modern, food was more than good and the friendly staff really made our night, great feel to the place and all at a reasonable price. Will certainly be stopping again.

Charmant établissement, plein de charme et de style dans un environnement agréable. Nourriture plus que correcte

Situé le long d'une route assez fréquentée et les chambres ne disposant que de simple vitrage, cet établissement est à déconseillé pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger.

Nice deco, good food and beers, friendly staff, breakfast.

Can be very noisy as it's near the road, and sound isolation is not good. Cars are passing almost all night long.

I used the pelican as a base for a weekend function in Hungerford , it was sufficient but a little out of the way for me. Nice country side a lot of out door activities Due to be refurbished next month

The room decor was a bit tired

The food was OK.

Impossible to adjust the temperature of the shower. No heating in the room - temp about 15Celcius.
