Service was very friendly and attentive
The bed was a bit soft for my taste, but overall was great.
Lovely pub with great food and accommodation. The staff can't do enough for you. The only thing I would say is that the menu in the room needs to be updated.
Friendly staff Great accommodation Great Food
The food (though most of the menu had sold out!), the beer and the atmosphere. The room, though small, was very comfortable and everything worked. A thoroughly pleasant stay.
The food was a huge surprise. Fabulous lunch and a wonderful dinner.
The bedroom and large bed Pet friendliness Plenty of car parking Friendly bar and great restaurant Good breakfast and range of that day's newspapers
Restaurant was quite pricy Breakfast could have gone on an extra half hour to 11.00 at the weekend Cooked breakfast should be included in the price Coffee not great
The real ale was great; the staff were so friendly; the food excellent and the free wifi was available in the rooms so we could listen to Radio Caroline on the internet when not in the bar!
That the 4 of us we could not stay longer!
We were spending a morning at Brendan Powell's yard nearby. I booked this inn as it was close by and because it had a racing theme. This made our whole break perfect which was part of a wedding present. The room even had racing books which we enjoyed reading. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and attentive.
Once used the 4 tea bags on the first day they were not replaced and had to ask. A wobbly loo seat
Good Pub atmosphere and Restaurant with above average rooms for a Pub
Hot water not hot enough
The food was excellent
The cost of the room was more than enough to cover the cost of a cooked breakfast and I took exception to being told that a cooked breakfast was an additional £8.50. My wife has a B&B business and breakfast is included in the price. The additional charge in my view is pure greed.
The staff, in particular the Polish lady, who served us in the bar on the Sunday evening, she was charming. Convenience and style of the room. Accepting our dog.
Holes in the bath towels. No shaver point in the bathroom. Cans and rubbish in the car park. (Rather about the people that visit but should be checked and cleared)
We liked the friendly staff, good food, good wine and beer/drinks selection well presented
We found that we were too hot in bed, the doonah was too hot. We booked the small double room and did find it small but that was all that was available.
Wouldn't recommend the food
Food, cleanliness and manners of staff excellent.
Unfortunately when we entered the room (No. 8) we thought somebody had been sick due to the smell but on investigation it appears it may have been the black wardrobe that was creating the smell! (Noticed an air freshener inside the wardrobe so perhaps this had already been brought to the attention of the hotel?! Pillows too soft and small
This is a nice place to stay. The rooms are nice, not all the same, and always clean. The pub has a nice selection of beer and the food is decent.
My room was nice but somewhat spoilt by the electric "air freshener" which actually pollutes the air with that awful floral smell.
The very helpful staff and accommodation. Thank you both Kelly and Chris for your welcome and assistance.
Not too close to the Cotswolds but still a nice area.
Stayed one night. Great location off the M4 as a stop over. Excellent food served by very helpful and friendly staff
Comfortable feel to the whole weekend
The quality of the rooms, the food was delightful, if a little expensive, and the facilities cannot be faulted.
The staff were so so, the location is between main roads meaning there is significant traffic noise. Water pressure in the showers was dreadful.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the very comfortable rooms were stylish and spotless. Little extras like fresh milk for your room, books and magazines to read in your room, facecloths etc. Rural location means that there is no noise to interrupt your sleep.
Rural location also means that there is nowhere to stroll out to after dinner as there are no footpaths on the roads. Food was incredible and very much worth the menu prices, but if you are trying to keep within a subsistence budget you have to choose carefully and only have one course. Would be great if they could do a more reasonably priced bar menu too.
room comfort food excellent
fire alarm went off twice in the night
The whole place was really nice, great atmosphere.
My room smoke alarm went off twice at about 3am then 3.30am for no apparent reason. Also unable to get breakfast as leaving before half 8 that day.
Real coffee, real milk......
Great friendly staff. Good rooms with decent facilities.
Ala cart food was nice but not what a grown man needs after a hard day at work. Pork the size of a sparrow did not fill me a little bit for 16quid was a rip off.
The location was sublime as was the meal and the room and the staff
