Good location, easy access to railway station. Safe surroundings. I would recommend it on this basis. Good dining experience (except for breakfast).
This visit was disappointing although I have stayed here several times before. There was a plumbing fault in pipework adjacent to the room which vibrated loudly late into the night and early in the morning. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the glasses although wrapped, were dirty. Insufficient staff for a full hotel at breakfast time resulting in inattention to detail.
Pretty basic, but clean and comfortable.
Never got up early enough for breakfast (they could serve it later). The shower was some kind of strange machine mounted to the wall with no instructions. The wall lamps didn't work.
Staff very friendly, room clean, large, comfortable with usual services
Main road location was useful but busy road gave some noise.
room. parking facilty
Good location, clean and comfortable room.
Shower did not work, in 7 days I got one shore, otherwise freezing or scalding. Breakfast heavy on standard English, no fresh fruit.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Good evening meal. Lots of choice well presented, tasty and reasonably priced. Nice breakfast.
If I have to be picky the breakfast set up was a bit haphazard. We had to wait for coffee and table wasn't set up with salt and pepper, side plates etc. but was soon rectified.
Lovely friendly welcome from staff, smiles all around! Recommended a taxi for us to use, let us finish our drinks without rushing and agreed a late bacon Sarnie for us in the morning! Also provided me with an 'old' towel as I had just dyed my hair and I didn't want to stain their room towels. Nothing was too much trouble!
god food, excellent staff, good parking, easy to find. good bar. although the hotel was on a main road it was vey quiet in the room
one minor issue is that the room was a bit tired and could use some updating but this is only a minor thing.
Nice and clean. Nice garden friendly welcome and helpful.
Dog running around garden while eating . No room to relax and read or chill out only the bar. No place to sit and have a smoke outside unless you were having a meal or drink . Food extremely poor and expensive had to send food back as it was raw. I especially did not like the dog going to the toilet where people ate and drank this is unacceptable. Would not recommend this pub to anyone the food really let it down very badly it was so poor.
The bar and staff
The state of the old fittings in the bathroom of room 11
loved the food choice of menu and range of drinks location very good for our group comfortable and quite rooms ample parking
curtains and carpets in room very tired also the shower room could have been a little sprucer seating area of garden nice but untidy
Nice room, everything we needed for an overnight stay
Our key card didn't work when we got home late at night and just wanted to go to bed... We quickly got it reset
The food was good, breakfast was ok, the staff friendly, the room was quite big, Quiet, Rooms are in a separate building from the pub, Plenty of parking
Had to pay on arrival, not on checkout. Paid for food separately, Little atmosphere, Ate my food, had pint and went o my room to watchTV.
The hotel was separate from the pub and had electronic security on the front door, both of which I liked. The pub itself and beer gardens where very good and the food was ok.
The room was 'tired' and could do with a little attention in a couple of places. I found litter from a previous guest. I am being picky here as I would definitely stay there again.
Nice staff and very good breakfast
Small space by the desk in the room (but not that big deal) :-)
The rooms are away from the pub making for a quiet stay.
The place , the room, the people and the food.
The shower in my room (8) was not the best.
Excellent location, friendly staff and very helpful, excellent food, room was very clean and comfortable.
Traffic noise, would ask for a room at the back next time. Very busy location.
Breakfast, location, room in general
Too bright in the morning. It needs a shade
Nice homely hotel. Staff very friendly & helpful
Food choice a bit limited
Friendliness of staff and good food.
The staff but a fridge in my room after me asking for one. Staff where friendly and helpful. Would stay their again.
Easy booking in. Wi-fi. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Good pizzas in the restaurant Beds were comfy Windows that actually open! Hotel was quiet
Tiny TV in room Smell of stale beer when having breakfast Missing supplies from tea /coffee supplies. One sugar and no spoons! Poor quality shower, temperature varies of its own accord.
