Good friendly promt service. Clean comfortuble room
Laurie and his staff made my Mum & I extremely welcome. The service, food and hospitality was second to none. Definitely return.
This was the 3rd stay, comfortable clean & tidy. Breakfast very tasty.
Good food, friendly staff
Noise of other guests one night
No remote for TV. Very uncomfortable beds. Very dated bathroom. Broken toilet seat. Damp smell on room. WIFI poor. I could go on.
Staff are extremely pleasant & helpful
Pleasant welcome on arrival. Good service at bar. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was quite greasy and the service a little harried.
Have stayed at the Pheasant Inn on a previous occasion, and was pleased with everything about it, this is why we booked again. Good location for us, as friends live in Wokingham and we came up for a 30th party. Clean, friendly, great breakfast, slept well. What more can I say?
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Poor slow wifi
Slept like a log. Restaurant excellent I can recommend the mussels.
Friendly helpful staff. Local to where I need to work. Excellent breakfast.
Wifi is awful. When it works it is too slow.
Most things ,,
Nothing of importance
Great value for money hotel. separate from the bar area, so pretty quiet. Good restaurant. staff could not be more helpful ,,,
Nothing really ...
The pub alongside the accommodation block had reasonable atmosphere and provided good food. There was good insulation to the room as noise levels were low despite facing onto the main road. The cooked breakfast was made up of excellent quality food items.
I had read various reviews of this hotel leading up to my stay. Some were good and some were not! I decided it probably depended on which particular room you ended up staying in. I think we got one of the poorer ones! It was ok - certainly adequate for a one night stopover - but thin lumpy pillows and a duvet that has seen better days are such easy things to put right. The bathroom could have done with a good spring clean, too.
Ground floor room at rear was comfortable and quiet in spite of proximity to road. Bed was comfortable.
The person giving me the keycard spoke very quickly and as I have a hearing problem, I had to ask for a repeat. Even then, I didn't quite catch all of it and had to ask another visitor for how to access the room. There was no-one else waiting for attention so no need for hurry.
Good location, easy access to railway station. Safe surroundings. I would recommend it on this basis. Good dining experience (except for breakfast).
This visit was disappointing although I have stayed here several times before. There was a plumbing fault in pipework adjacent to the room which vibrated loudly late into the night and early in the morning. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the glasses although wrapped, were dirty. Insufficient staff for a full hotel at breakfast time resulting in inattention to detail.
Pretty basic, but clean and comfortable.
Never got up early enough for breakfast (they could serve it later). The shower was some kind of strange machine mounted to the wall with no instructions. The wall lamps didn't work.
Staff very friendly, room clean, large, comfortable with usual services
Main road location was useful but busy road gave some noise.
room. parking facilty
Good location, clean and comfortable room.
Shower did not work, in 7 days I got one shore, otherwise freezing or scalding. Breakfast heavy on standard English, no fresh fruit.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Good evening meal. Lots of choice well presented, tasty and reasonably priced. Nice breakfast.
If I have to be picky the breakfast set up was a bit haphazard. We had to wait for coffee and table wasn't set up with salt and pepper, side plates etc. but was soon rectified.
Lovely friendly welcome from staff, smiles all around! Recommended a taxi for us to use, let us finish our drinks without rushing and agreed a late bacon Sarnie for us in the morning! Also provided me with an 'old' towel as I had just dyed my hair and I didn't want to stain their room towels. Nothing was too much trouble!
god food, excellent staff, good parking, easy to find. good bar. although the hotel was on a main road it was vey quiet in the room
one minor issue is that the room was a bit tired and could use some updating but this is only a minor thing.
