The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. Free wifi allowed me to finish some work off in my room. It was pretty basic in the room and very bland.

Food was excellent. Maybe a little overpriced. Staff were lovely. As a lone parent with daughter aged 8 and son aged 7 I felt at ease. Bed linen needed a good iron. Bathroom very dated and shower temperature was extremely tempramental. To a point I did not dare put my children in it. I also emailed hotel prior to staying to enquire re cost of meals for my children and never had a reply.

The staff was friendly and attentive to the right amount. We were expecting an 'old' country pub and didn't really know how comfortable it would be but this was a really good surprise: the Pheasant Inn maintains its country pub feeling but is clean, full of light and has a fresh touch to it. It was a really nice experience. Breakfast is only serves for an hour on the Saturday which was ok for us but could be too restrictive to others. Bath products are a bit limited even if the whole experience is right for the price.

I did not personally stay but the above reflects the views of my overflow guests who did the room was adequate for purpose - they were out all day - and the breakfast was complimented. The convenient location of the Inn to my house was the most important factor in chosing it Unnecessary phone call from Inn questioning if booking was valid when they had failed to fully read my note explaining the reason for the booking. While apologetic when I called back to underline the position they should not have made the call, inconveniently when i was away from home.
