The room we stayed in was so quiet even Though main road just feet away the view is second to noon food was great staff are very friendly I did not use my car once Bus service very good and cheap walks where fantastic
Glorious view! Good food.
The location is gorgeous & the bed was comfy.
Arrived & the guy practically shoved us into our room only to appear with forgotten cups. There was about 1/8 toilet roll & when I went to find him he was no where to be seen. Had to go into an empty room to find one. At breakfast whole place was a ghost town so didn't eat a thing. Abysmal way to treat people who've paid to stay and were your only guests. Never again!
the location is great, the room overlooked the lake and it was very comfortable and clean. The restaurant is also overlooking the lake so the breakfast experience is amazing.
We got there in the evening, after a whole day of driving through Scotland we wanted to relax and have something to eat. Unfortunately the restaurant was booked throughout the evening for a private event, so we had to look for a restaurant elsewhere. It would be nice to have had a heads up.
Very colourful. Menu wonderful choice smoked haddock with spinach, yummm. Breakfast great. Wee hotels are best because the owner is looking after you. Ample parking.
Had to leave next day would have liked to stay a couple of days.
The view from this hotel is spectacular. The bed was so comfy and the staff were fantastic
Not a thing !
The location of The Pier is stunning. My room was a nice size, with an en-suite. I stayed in room 2. The dinner was delicious, as well as the breakfast the next morning. Very friendly and welcoming staff
Nothing ! It was awesome!
The scenery. Breakfast was nice.
The place was closed when we got there and although it is open to the public from 6pm it did not re open. The owner showed us in and then we never saw anyone again until the next morning! The room smelt very strongly of paint and the door felt tacky to touch. The room was very basic but clean. The village did not feel very friendly and the local pubs landlord was quite rude when asked for coffee.
Good location , Friendly staff and good food. Stayed their twice during our 5 day visit to Scotland.
We enjoy the accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a large variety of choices. The area of the restaurant had very large windows, so you could enjoy the views of the loch while dining. Overall very good and recommended
The staff and hotel were lovely the view was amazing the breakfast was lovely
The location it was to far from dunoon
Really nice set-up and 'biker' friendly!
No coffee in the room!
Nothing much no coffee pot at breakfast had to ask 4 a 2nd cup
No privacy room to from with no curtains everyone had to pass the window to get to reception I'll cheap fitted blinds with gaps !! one small soap bathroom extremely dirty
Everything about the hotel was above expectation. Even with the poor weather the hotel was ideally situated and a pleasure to stay in.
View from dining area. Owner very hospitable.
Very poor view from room 10. Stairway door constantly opening and closing with other guests going to and fro their rooms, which was quite annoying.
Location staff and bistro great
The room was basic and bathroom of low standard
the food, view, staff, everything really
Excellent location with friendly staff. Staff are very knowledgeable on local area. We ate one night in the restaurant and had an excellent meal -- very good, local produce. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent restaraunt and beautifully cooked breakfast.
Location Dining Conservatory View Clean Pleasant Owner
Chipped paintwork on bedroom furniture Lack of privacy. Ground floor room next to Guest House entrance door with bay window. Venetion blinds or voile panels needed. Full english breakfast not all that good (Note new owner since May 2014)
Excellent food and lovely location by the Loch. It was very good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful.
There was no lounge and the appearance of some parts seemed quite basic. Our room was a good size and the bed comfortable, but the shower room door did not shut properly and the hanging space very basic.
Room 7 has a great view overlooking the Loch, lovely breakfast, & the one night we ate in the bistro was enjoyable....... Great staff!
Great location, good room and great breakfast.
Lots of little bits and pieces required the attention of a handy man just to repair or finish off the room.
A wonderful location, very peaceful and quiet. Good value for money and a tasty breakfast. Near to Benmore Gardens which are well worth a visit.
Location comfort, great family run made you feel welcome breakfast was good as well. Plenty to eat.
Meals a bit pricey but good, need desk for business people but did put a small table in for me so that did the job. No wardrobe hanging every thing on two cloths hooks.
