Fabulous View from bedroom window in the heart of Whitby
Not the cleanest of premises
the views and location were great and lovely friendly staff.
our room was at the top of the building and the stairs were very very steep.
Located close to waterfront, great view of harbor and Abbey. Full English Breakfast worth every penny.
Photos on line not reflective of establishment. Parking too far away (on line doesn't detail how far away parking actually is or exact location of Inn-as in that it is on narrow busy busy waterfront street) room at top of building-up 4 flights of narrow steep stairs, lack of cleanliness in room, LARGE live spider found in bedding.
Position, band, beds were all ok.
We we one the 5th floor , no lift and with our age and health issues 56 steps on a curving stair case were too much, and there was no warning of this, and no lift available.
Staff were friendly
Needs a reverb decor poor and out of date breakfast was poor very noisy all night from fishing boats outside not very clean
Excellent location. Parking disc available. Friendly staff.
It's not that we didn't like it but we didn't realise there was loud entertainment on the Friday night - right beneath our room. The band was great but with the music after the group, it didn't go quiet til nearly midnight.
Clean comfortable bed
first room was on 3rd floor access up a steep narrow winding stairway not suitable for elderly people but staff switched us to room 2on first floor that was next to a fire door which banged continually.Room very small and old no wardrobe. No on site car park, told to park on W section some way away but couldn't find it until one of staff helped me.Whitby parking baffling to an outsider.Full English breakfast very limited for the price.
Breakfast at 09:00
Being right by the harbour. Having an attic room - although it was a trek up there - but the view was stunning. The breakfast was lovely.
4 flights of stairs with a 2yr old
great location, comfortable and clean room, very good breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff, we would stay here again.
We stayed in a twin room, which was light and airy and looked into the harbour. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. The beds were really comfy and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent and offered a good choice. All the staff we really friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would totally recommend the Pier to anyone who wants to enjoy wonderful Whitby!. We will be booking again soon!
Everything was great!
The Young lady who looked after us and booked us in which seemed to be her job was lovely she was also behind the bar, she was polite carried our bags up checked on the internet directions for us, wished us a nice day, she s a credit to the business, the other bar staff on Saturday night were good too
One of the men behind the bar with the bald head on Saturday night clearly did not want to be at work he was ignorant no manners and no interest walking with his hands in his pockets, the family room double bed sheet had not been changed.
Very Good Location right on Harbour Permit was given for parking off site
Noisy seagulls early morning
Room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the Abbey. Nice fish and chips. Pub was lively and had a band playing which was great.
Having to park up on west cliff which was a hike to get to and from the car. The manager seemed surly and less than helpful.
owners and staff very helpful, breakfast brill, nice place,
The staff are very friendly and accomadating . Breakfast very nice
Nothing as we did not stay there!
A call 24 hrs before we were due to travel stating that the hotel had a water leak in the room we had booked!
Stayed on top floor, making the view wonderful. Clean spacious bathroom considering it is under the eaves. Really great choice for breakfast.
Dirty carpet in room. Very dated, ugly duvet covers. Nowhere to store any toiletries in bathroom apart from on toilet cistern (all problems easily remedied).
Comfortable beds, clean room and pleasant helpful staff.
Fabulous location and breakfast
Location brilliant right on Harbour. Beds comfy enough was very quite so able to sleep after music stopped and people vacted around 11.15 P.M.
Stayed Mon and Tuesday, Live music until 11.00 P.M each night, fine if you dont want to go to sleep until late but had to turn the volumn of the TV to very high, to hear it above the noise! Shower very dirty did not shower for two days stay, rest of room OK, carpet marked in few places.
A warm welcome, friendly staff, clean rooms with stunning view, comfortable beds and a good breakfast. What more can one ask for 75.00 per night.
A little noisy through the night and our shower had an electrical fault; just one of those things! Fishing boats must work at night and a shower can go wrong for which the owner was most apologetic. Can't be helped.
We went with friends and had a great time, went to the magpie for dinner .rooms were clean and comfy.
My friend said the bed she had was too soft, and narrow it was a twin bed.
