room was more than adequate, very clean; bath/shower a little small. Very good breakfast. Close to the foreshore for the start of walks. Found some great places to eat and drink within minutes

just a little bit "out of the way" for easy access to city attractions, but there is bus service and no problem if you like to walk...

What a great hostess Gill is and her B&B was lovely. Gill even drove us to the wharf for sightseeing. Breakfast was superb. Highly recommend.

The cleanliness for a start and such good value for money as well as being very friendly and helpful. I left something behind when we left and Gill was more than willing to post it on to me. One of the best places we have stayed I would say.

Gill is very warm and made us feel at home straight away. Whilst our room was quite small, it had everything we needed and was well set out. There are a lot of lovely touches including top quality toiletries, good range of teas, lovely bed linen, fluffy towels & the Full English Breakfast is fabulous. We loved our stay there.

Nothing - it's a great place to stay!

The Pier Hotel is immaculately clean, in a great location with a friendly, welcoming hostess Gill. The yummy breakfast was a great way to start the day. Happily recommend The Pier.

The stairs with no lift and a heavy case, but Gill did offer assistance.

The welcome, the keenness to provide things I would like, eg fresh milk in my room, the willingness to cook early breakfast for me as I had to leave before the usual time, the advice about the area, the general friendliness

Location to all our requirements. Parked up and walked to see all the local attractions. Should have booked a couple more nights as we did not know of the South sea attractions.

Gill was very welcoming and accommodating. She moved us from a twin room to a double room after the first night when one became available. She even sent me an email during our stay to inform me about the move and moved our cases. Also, once home she returned my dressing gown by post even though I hadn't realised I'd left it behind! Thank you Gill, for a lovely stay.

I didn't like the shower and toilet together in a cubicle with a step down to the bedroom. I would have preferred an integral bathroom but the room possibly would have been too small for a bathroom ensuite.

Wonderful host, just the right amount of communication to make you comfortable, yet knowing that you can engage more if you wanted to. Perfectly placed for easy access to all the tourist spots and the free parking permit was a bonus

Nothing, except the noisy people above us who were walking about a lot very late at night. We think they were packing everything for an early start in the morning, and not considering other guests. An easy mistake.

Very welcoming, fresh tea brought to our room on arrival after a long journey was just what was needed. Central within easy walking distance into the city, the Pier provided a parking permit with free parking which was really handy. Gill was so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and the cooked English breakfast was top quality and cooked freshly to order. Room was very clean and comfy, will definitely stay again!!
