Location is good
No hot water, central heating not working towels old poor condition
Room was ok/fair. Tesco right opposite. Bus stop to city center just in front.
City center not near, but money for this location/facilities a bit high. No lift & the steps path were very narrow. Heater in wash basin didn't work
We liked the staff for their hospitality.
Excellent stay, with very friendly helpful staff
Quiet and on buss route.
We booked 3 single beds and ended with a double and one single. Three men!
Well located, very very basic facilities but that's reflected in the price. But it did the job For somewhere to rest my head after a night at Anfield
Receptionist aske me my name despite me quoting ref no: no I can't find Troofs here she said - Crooks I replied, she kept repeating Troofs then tried to write it down " T she started - no! C for Charlie - still didn't get it - also had to pay cash ???
friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, clean room. good take-away food available around, superstore just across the road.
the step at the entrance made it difficult to use pram. bit far from the City Centre, well-connected by bus though.
Room cosy Staff nice and grateful you were there Clean
Shared bathroom Cash only Decor
location and friendly staff
Faulty curtain pole let street light in
location. 20 min walk from centre or less than 10 on the bus. bus stop just outside hotel.
people drinking at the bar. non of them was a customer of the hotel..
The room was freezing cold on arrival
Very friendly staff, great location on main road with bus stop outside door
The staff were lovely and were more than happy to arrange taxi's etc they also gave us late check out as our train wasn't until the afternoon! Extra heater provided, clean, comfy beds, wifi available but only on the bar- didn't reach the rooms
Small bathroom which proved difficult getting in and out of shower. Good wee distance from town, you probably couldn't walk it but taxis are cheap and arranged by staff and for the price you can't complain
Location 1 mile from city center. Room was Clean.
Not much you get what you pay for.
It was not so far from the centrum, by bus I could go in pretty quickly. There is a tesco opposite to. The hotel is practic for Beatles tourist, because Ringo Starr's childhood and youthful houses are bout 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The english breakfast was nice.
The TV didn't work in the room. There was an old style toilet in the bathroom, what I didn't like.
Everything was spot on! Great!!
Location next to a supermarked. Easy to find. Next to a bus stop.
Noisy streets and from other rooms and the pub. Too much alcohol consumed by other visitors.
Room looked quite nice & close to city centre and where I was going to. Price was much cheaper than most hotels close to city centre. Had tv and sink in room. Heater in room made it warm.
Very thin quilt, had difficulty getting into and out of hotel early in morning. Bathroom facilities were very basic.
Pleasant and friendly type of Hotel room clean & tidy staff very helpful stopped for 1 night with family, pub localers also made you feel welcome which added to the atmosphere of a seemingly well run and respected establishment and only a short distance, approx a mile and a half from the water front and the shopping centres would book again.
Heater in the room could have been a bit better equiped other than that no other issues.
The View From my Window
Staff member was Horribly dismissive and rude. while she sipped a WKD behind the bar while we waited at check in not knowing what to do, where to park our car etc. she just looked us up and down, decided she had better things to do and carried on drinking. I was absolutely appalled. the Gentleman who I'm expecting is the Owner was much much friendlier and warm but the whole experience was very forced but terribly unorganised.
The pub of the hotel was friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful.
You will need cash. This wasn't clear with the booking process, but there is an ATM at the main entrance of the Tesco across the street. Could not use the Wifi because I did not sort out the password while checking in, and it was too late to wake the staff.
The fact they had a letter box to post the key through.
Advertised parking - was no parking. In fact ended up parking illegally all night and hoped we didn't get clamped. Advertised Wi-Fi - no Wi-Fi at all. While I was in the toilet, some random guy tried to walk into our room where my wife was asleep!
Staff were friendly
Cleanliness was poor, paid £10 extra on second night and got a smaller room - only more expensive as was en suite. Was strange that we were put in the 'annex' on the first night which was just a house down the street with 4 rooms and a shared bathroom - a bit strange
Friendly staff Value for money
Hotel is run down it's above a pub. Room was ok but rest of it needs a refurb
