Friendly atmosphere.Clean room.Fairly quiet area
Rather a long distance from the main atttactions of Liverpool
Comfy beds rooms clean bathrooms could do with a few more towels very basic but did the job as a bed for the night over a weekend.
Small rooms not very big for 2 people.
- nice view from the window over the Mersey river and the docks - the room we got was quite spacious - comfortable beds
- we had a shared bathroom just opposite our door at the corridor and early morning there were other people queueing to use it and chatting
Our first impression wasn't very good (because of the café) but we had a very pleasant stay, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was very nice!
the walls were made of paper, I guess. I could hear every single thing of our neighbours.. a bit awkward :p
The customers were nice, friendly and extremely helpful.breakfast was ok too.
The fact that they wouldn't take the payment from my credit card and was sent over to tesco which then cost me £6 46 to get cash, also the distance seemed longer than stated so again cost us in bus and taxi fares plus it was very basic, we had no hot water and they did open up a bathroom opposite our room to compensate...... I won't stay there again!!!
The rooms was clean the staff and the locals was friendly
It was clean and suited me for the one night. It was close to the city centre, though it would have been useful if the website had had the right bus number. A 74 or 75 does not go near with the correct bus number being 82.
I had no water in my en suite hand basin which defeated the purpose of not needing to walk down to a communal bathroom. I did not like having to get through to the bar to speak to anyone.
This is an old pub with a lot of rooms above, It is easily accessable from the city centre & the room was clean & comfortable
The shared facilities were Tatty, toilet seat broken & no hot water in the basin. I was not impressed to find the staff smoking inside at the Bar
The "annexe" we stayed in, around the corner in Isaac St., could have been a problem getting to & from The Pineapple in inclement weather.
The price! Right opposite an enormous TESCO
Had been warned the area might be a bit rough so decided not to park our car near the hotel. Instead parked at Liverpool One and got taxis everywhere (which were actually very cheap) Could have done with a shower mat in the bathroom
very close to town centre, very clean and up to date room, great staff and very friendly, would recommend to friends.
Location was ok
I think 145 gbp for a night in b&b was a rip off. Staff was half asleep if they could be found anyway. Payment system did not work, only cash was accepted. TV channels were messed up and could not be watched. Remote control did not work.
Staff were very friendly.
No hot water in wash basin. Room Not cleaned or bed made during stay. Very light with a street light by our window and noisy as over the bar even though we requested a quiet smoke free room we smelt smoke quite badly first night. We booked for three nights but couldn't hack a third -night so bad!! Couldn't have a cooked breakfast as it was made by the bar man who had dirty stained trousers and nicotined fingers and lips. Not Good!!
friendly staff, quite big bathroom, good quality of towels,
the room could be a little bigger
Clean room, handy location, friendly helpful people, nice bar all for £30 in a city like Liverpool. What's not to like! Must be run by Evertonians?!
You get value for money with no frills
Breakfast very poor quality and nothing would be better
hard to park my car in a safe place , room was very small
It was directly across the street from the grocery store and there was free parking over there.
My husband talked to many locals about where we were staying, and they laughed b/c they knew what kind of place it is and how they seem to scam tourists (that was in their words). We were told at check in that the credit card machine was down, and we would have to pay cash. If we cancelled, we would still be charged. The lady was very hard of hearing and very rude and unaccommodating!! She suggested we go across the street for the cash. I think they might have a system worked out to make some extra $$ that way. Thankfully, we drove to a legitimate bank. NO elevators. We had 4 flights of stairs. You couldn't open the room door all the way b/c the dresser was in the way. They TV/cable was unplugged and the outlet was dangerously high up. We were told they night guy could get it set-up (it would be 5 more hours before he came in). Then the remote batteries were dead. Old and open tea bags. Only a small end table in the whole room and no table at all in the bathroom. We had to place our bathroom bags on the floor. NO trash cans or bags at all. The tub was EXTREMELY slippery. We ended up placing a towel in the bottom of the tub so we wouldn't slip. The window fully opened, which is extremely dangerous b/c anyone could fall out from the 3rd story. I had a tough time getting back in one morning b/c the outside door was locked and the pub was closed. This was around 10am. I know there is more, that's what comes to mind.
A bar down stairs
A better one round the corner
Had a great time with some great people, hotel couldn't do enough and were friendly at every point.
Nothing to like
Only payable with cash - not warned about this beforehand. No hot water in the bedroom en suites. Very poor breakfasts. No apologies for the inconvenience. I was left with the impression the place was about to fold, ie no maintenance and cash on book in.
This hotel is very misleading in its advertising, it is dirty, en suite means a bathroom across the hall without a lock on the door. If you get offered a room on the second floor you have to struggle up very steep dangerous stairs with loose carpet. No hot water in the sinks and the shower was very temperamental. You will be staying above a rowdy pub full of what look like heavy drinkers. Truly the worst hotel ever. You have to pay cash upfront BIG MISTAKE SEE THE ROOM/S FIRST Trust me this is awful. I never made it to breakfast and left immediately.
Location and had to pay cash on arrival
Had to pay in cash upon arrival i would of prefered to pay by card
