Score from 51 reviews Excellent
hotel room 12 very good, very comfortable bed and would consider coming back for location, wonderful view and can bring my dog as great access to garden.
Did not like the back ground music in main lounge area as definitely aimed at older generation - thought the dining room was bit dated in decor
The hotel had to be dog friendly and it was.we had a ground floor room with large patio doors straight onto the lawns, perfect for our little dog.
All staff Excellent bathroom Great choice of tea etc in room No fuss wi fi
Soft bed Creaky floors
Its convenient for my work. Very accommodating for what I need. The staff are very helpful. The room is comfortable
There is nothing to find fault with
Breakfast ended at 9.30 a.m. It would be better if it was 10.00 am.
Convenience of the access to town and other places
The double bed was old and the springs were uncomfortable and at £100 per night we expected better than this
The view from the room over looking the sea front.
Bath in room 23 - felt like it was about to collapse
We were delighted to find that the family room we'd booked was in fact a suite with 2 rooms so we could put our 1yr old to bed at a sensible time. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and there was a huge choice for breakfast to keep every appetite happy.
The only negative was the lack of choice at dinner time. The main restaurant didn't open until nearly 7pm,too late for young children and the bar snacks were all cold sandwiches etc. The children's menu is not available out of season so we had to go to the pub down the road. The main restaurant was also too rich for our pockets. the Crow's nest pub was perfect for young children.
Ample parking, helpful, attentive staff and a good choice of food, nicely presented, from the dinner and breakfast menu. A nice clean large bedroom and the public rooms were well presented as well.
Room wasn't particularly sound proofed. Someone returned to their bedroom at 1 am, slamming their bedroom door and proceeded to talk loudly for 30 mins. A shame because all else was thoroughly enjoyable.
En suite bathroom good size and excellent shower.
Bed too small and dinner overpriced.
Excellent location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good quality food.
Comfortable, spacious rooms. Food was excellent, plentiful and good choice. Friendly staff. lovely views from the hotel.
only minor drawback was the noise from room above when drawing a bath. it was quiet noisy and at 11pm disturbing.
V,Clean spacious room and ensuite. Fully functioning television. Great views of the bay.
Luke warm breakfast accompanied by loud radio music at 8am in the dining room.
Clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely full breakfast, Staff very attentive to our requests.
The shower head would not stay on the bracket, we reported this on leaving.
Evening meal and restaurant was lovely. Nicely presented . A calm relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel
We booked this hotel but unfortunately my friend was poorly and was unable to make it. The manager wouldn't give us a refund or a credit for another stay. Do not rate the customer service at all. Will definately not rebook.
I loved my room. My breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful too. I can't wait to come back.
Nothing - everything was perfect.
Views from the room were wonderful and it was an easy walk to town.
The shower was close to useless.
Very comfy room, staff most helpful, good parking, super breakfast and nothing to complain about
Great location Room 9 had patio doors leading out to a grassy area, so great for people staying with dogs. Very helpful and friendly staff
Rooms are a bit dated. Although dog friendly hotel dogs not allowed anywhere except bedrooms meant husband and I breakfasted separately . They did offer room service :)
The rooms are spacious, ours had fantastic sea views. The food, both breakfast and dinner have a varied selection and are very well cooked and presented. The staff are friendly and helpful both at reception and in the restaurant and bar.
Whoever owns this hotel, whoever they are- the pride they must take in getting it just right. Well trained staff, breakfast choice and quality, room size, cleanliness, wifi speed in room all perfect. I stay in around 20 hotels each year and I cannot recall one as perfect for my needs as the Pines was. Note - I ate out, but regretted not taking my evening meal in the Pines Restaurant...
Nothing - everything was perfect for my needsfor a one night stay.
The location was excellent. Nicely decorated room
One side light did not work, and the window would not lock, but this was sorted out by the staff. The bathroom could of done with a lot less silicone round the taps.
The room and views very gorgeous. The people were friendly and the food was fantastic (a little over priced)
