Excellent staff and service, food was good quality
I liked the staffs attitude, they reopened the bar as we had arrived late and made us sandwiches.
We had to re-programme the TV in our room as it didn't work initially on our arrival. You just cannot open the sachets containing the tea bags!
Lovely room, the whittle room, large and comfortable bed. Dinner and breakfast both excellent. Have stayed before and hopefully will stay again. Forgot my old tee shirt and was pursued across the car park by one of the house staff to return, that is good service!
Not the fault of the hotel but there are some very large birds in the area so avoid parking under the trees!
Evenom meal was good.
No fruit at breakfast. No one had cleaned behind the settee. Kettle temperamental. Room shabby with wallpaper coming off the wall.
Breakfast was very good Restaurant was very well presented.
Bar costs a bit high.
All around attitude of staff
There wasn't anywhere to have a drink on Saturday night because all main rooms were booked.
Very quiet. Real fresh food. Value for money. Spacious bedroom with the choice of bath or shower. Friendly, courteous staff. Nice to see management getting involved with custmer care.
Unable to adjust bedroom heating, as it was a little bit too warm.
Water temprature not hot enough to use the bath luke warm water
Staff are very helpful and on the ball. Sat back off the main road the location is right for a good nights sleep. The food is good and the restaurant very nice, the glazed bar area is large, bright and ideal for chilling before and after your meal.
Some areas are a little bit dated but the rooms are clean and adequate for the price. The menu is not large but food was good. Don,t expect to be able to walk to any busy areas; forget noisy pubs and clubs.
The bed was comfy and we had most things needed for a lovely stay
We didn't have a bath or a wardrobe in our room, but our friend payed the same price and had both those things
The staff were very helpful. I was attending an evening wedding do. The food provided was adequate. The DJ and disco was brill. Facilities good
The room needs an overall. It looks tired and need a good spruce. There was also no folder in the room advising what was on offer ie room service and facilities.
Polite and friendly staff
The breakfast was out of this world - perfect eggs. Beautiful dining room and most attentive waitress, who even escorted me out of the hotel and pointed me to the bus stop!
Slightly noisy room overlooking main road, and late night revellers in the hotel traipsing past my room in full voice!
The staff were helpful. 4-poster bed was very comfortable, and the room was pleasant. The breakfast was good. Everything was fine except for the shower
The shower, although clean and functional, was rather feeble in flow and a little lukewarm even on max.
Friendly staff, good restaurant and ambiance that had real character. Dinner was really pleasant and breakfast excellent. It was really the staff that made it - good natured and efficient. I liked the fact the building had not been done over in a bland and globalised way, as so many places have been, so that they feel they could be anywhere in the world. This felt definitely like Lancashire and the better for it.
Rather shabby decor and plastic window frames.
Warm welcome Food especially breakfast Nice grounds Nice building Helpful staff
Mattress too soft Duvet too heavy
Faultless, a thoroughly enjoyable stay
Staff and food
Hard bed and banging noises late at night. TV did not work on 2 visits in room 20 and 21.
The hot water took ages to come through and was little mor than a trickle
Pleasant atmosphere Comfortable room with good facilities
On arrival told no food was available
i thought the staff were friendly and the setting was lovely. the entertainment at night was very good a great place would return.
i had a fall down the stairs from top to bottom and an lump appeared on my leg.it dint spoil the day but i was left a little shaken-the staff were really helpful and attended to me right away.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was modern and stylish. The room was great.
Slightly tired decoration in hallways, but nothing to worry about.
The suite was nice, breakfast lovely and check out staff really nice
No feather pillows, miserable staff on arrival, could not use the bar or restaurant as a wedding was on, instead shoved in a side room with all the atmosphere of a funeral parlour- staff at this stage were unfriendly and unhelpful,
