Smashing pub, good beer and service. Landlady cooked whatever you wanted for breakfast.
It is a noisy pub so sit back and enjoy.
Position; ideal for Swansea and the valleys. Good breakfast. Friendly people. Large outside area but it needs a makeover.
Too noisy. Loud music from late afternoon to late at night. Groups, Kareoke you name it they have it. The pub needs some TLC; Shabby is not always chic.
Environment was dirty. Room was noisy ! No internet was could be connected, the pub just advised us to use Cloud, the signal was poor.
The staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. We are hoping to move to the area so think we have made a very wise choice.
The staff was very friendly and helpful specially Hailey who greeted us when we arrived. The room was small but clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Staff were friendly, laid-back and all local. Also very flexible regarding my very late arrival time (1.00 am) and breakfast time. Bed was very comfortable. I will stay there again.
There was no key to the bedroom and no other means of locking the door. Breakfast was fine but I had to ask for a clean fork as the one laid at table was dirty.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff.
Friendly staff, very relaxed atmosphere. Good breakfast.Good clean bedrooms.
Stayed during Wales playing in the 6 nations so pub was packed, very noisy. no chance of sleep before 1am but knew this but slept well afterwards in a very comfortable bed.
Welcoming staff, good location and good breakfast.
Pub has live acts on a weekend so expect noise from inside and outside the pub until the early hours.
lovely welcome, good pub with live music, very good Indian restaurant close by
hi noise from the bar until 1am
The staff and people that visited the Pink geranium are so friendly. Bed very comfortable. Shared state of the art shower room, very clean.
There was a band on on saturday night and I found it hard to get to sleep until 1 am, hubby slept well though. Steep stairway to first floor so would not be suitable for disabled.
room was bright ,good facilities ,staff very helpful a FUN place
Location and entertainment
Entertainment going on until very late!!
the overall ambience, spacious and comfortable rooms and extremely friendly staff. The accommodation is above a pub which has excellent live music and it is in the very heart of Pontardawe.
Very friendly personel. I liked live music downstairs which stops at 1am. For me this wasn't any problem. There is a pub downstairs and for me it was just great. Nice local people
quite far from city center but you can get a bus near hotel.
Brilliant traditional pub. People & staff are really friendly. Great atmosphere. Rooms we nicely decorated & clean. Fantastic beer garden & live music.
Do not go to this B&B if you need at least 7 hours sleep per night. Especially friday or saturday. Stayed here on a friday night, the bar was a friendly place and the bar staff where great if more than a little pushy about getting payment for the room, which in my experience is what you sort out after you have stayed. I am sure it is a great pub and seemd to be the heart of the town however if you want to get some sleep before 2am forget it. Their attitude to the licensing law is when stop serving when we feel like it. As my roon was right above the bar , room 3, you can hear everything. Eventually the bar closed around 2:30am and then the revelers continued to drink and party outside till 4am, on cans purchased from the bar. ONce i finally settled down I can only assume staff that live on the premises decided that they would stumble about and use the toilet with the door open and yes you can hear everything. SO after about 4 hours sleep i got up hoping to wake myself with a shower, The electric shower was a joke it would switch from freezing to hot enough to scold which it succeeded in doing on my stomach as i was not quick enough out of the shower. MY first ever russian roulette shower i wish ever to have. the room smelt musty, the only goog thing about the room was the sheets were clean. Came down stairs to find no one around at 9:20am in the morning after 10 mins I see a staff member walk from one of the pub's toilets obviously having just cleaned it and asked it i wanted anything cooked for breakfast, which i politely refused, for my own health. I was supposed to stay another night but rather than experience this again i decided i would rather drive the 3.5hours home after my day in wales. THis is not a bar/hotel or B&B this is late night PUB with a few rooms for rent. Be warned
Owners and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Great room, great pub and lovely atmosphere. We had a really early start and they were happy to let us sort a quick breakfast out before we left. We'll definitely be back, if we're in the area again.
Very good breakfast clean room
Noisy at night
