We liked the nice tastefully designed room. Everything supplied. Went for a walk. Enjoyed the lounge.
No teabags! No view! And one main meal not up to scratch!
Whats not to !
Having to wait until we can return !
EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY
Loved location, great parking space, great swimming pool sauna, spacious room and bathroom
Hated the dinner picked chefs speciality as it was simple choice off a very limited menu ordered was placed with staff who did not write down request so therefore order got messed up took two minutes from ordering food to it being served which to me suggests microwave meal put me straight off the meal and filled with regret of not going out hotel for food but being too late for any other option food should be cooked fresh to order not ready and waiting like a fast food restaurant
Entertainment on Sat eve
Porridge at breakfast
heating in bedroom my car being hit by a shearings coach while it was parked in hotel car park spoilt weekend we celebrating our 40th wedding aniversary
The communal areas were very nice
Our room (12) smelled damp and was in need of an update
Room very comfortable Food excellent Very friendly staff
Bathroom shower very little water SInk taps hard to turn off very slow water Hard to get too up the hill Lights on short cut up to hotel
Well we used this fantastic location to come for the weekend as a little honeymoon. We arrived the night of our wedding. The staff we lovely and welcoming even though it was very late when we arrived. The room was clean and gorgeously presented for our arrival (apart from very cold). Had a wonderful view over the courtyard and on over the hills. Breakfast was very good will polite and happy to help staff. We will be returning next year for our anniversary and am very much looking forward to it as well!!!
The room was very cold when we arrived not a welcoming experience after a long journey.
The bed was comfy, the breakfast was tasty. The room was large. The furniture in the public rooms is really nice. The pool looked inviting but didn't have time to try it out. At the top of a hill in Pitlochry, not for the faint hearted if walking but I'm sure some of the rooms had terrific views, although we didn't. Entertainment was really good a lady singer and quizzes.
The bathroom although clean had an old fustie smell. The environmentally friendly heating was not guest friendly as only came on when there was movement in the room and the additional heater provided didn't work. The breakfast did not include any black pudding or toatie scones - not a full Scottish breakfast then? The public rooms are nice although some of the older curtains are badly torn - not a good look. The staff seemed ok but possibly in need of more customer care training - I saw an elderly man drop his coffee as he stepped away from the bar and although the puddle was cleared up fairly quickly nothing was said to the man by way of replacing his coffee or making him feel less embarrassed.
This was a late deal for a standard double room but we were upgraded to a superior double which was very spacious and had lovely views over the hotel gardens and the town.
The breakfast. We both had the full breakfast which we agreed was not hot enough and the tastiest item on the plate were the beans. Also the waiter who served us (in contrast with the other waiters) looked as though he had slept in his none too clean ink spattered shirt
Nice pool. Good breakfast. Lovely views. Friendly staff.
Decor Did not reflect a Scottish hotel.... Could have been in England, or anywhere. Sofas/chairs good choice for Africa.
Room was cold when we arrived (with towel at the window...to keep out draughts or wet?) Tables for breakfast all too close for comfort. Waiter couldn't speak English very well and got orders wrong Decor awful!
A big hotel which does not feel too big. Friendly staff, nice and comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Located in a quiet place some 10 minutes walking to the centre.
Water jet in the shower was rather weak and never warm - either hot or cold. In another room it was fine, though.
Very helpful and accommodating Assistant Manager, Diane, who allowed us to swap dates and have a late check out due to a change in our circumstances. The full breakfast was just the right size.
The night porter took more than half an hour to answer the door (there were other guests already trying to get in) when we arrived back at the hotel. We were ringing the bell and calling the phone from outside in the cold. He offered no apology or explanation which was a shame as the rest of the staff were great and he let the hotel down a little.
Nice friendly staff, good food and lovely lounge area.
Very basic rooms, the shower was very poor in a basic unattractive bathroom.
Porridge at breakfast was best tasted in a long time
You had to duck under the shower at a very awkward angle
Pool and location
Room needs updateing breakfast cold entertainment poor
Lovely location, super bed, friendly staff, particularly the cheery chap who supervised breakfast.
Some areas - en suite, leisure centre changing - looking a bit run down.
The staff were pleasant. The public areas were nicely decorated and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the leisure facilities.
Location and price Good breakfast Clean linen Helpful staff Public areas downstairs very grand
Run down and outdated Shabby furniture in need of updating Poor mattress Bathroom in need of refit Noisy bar area
plenty car parking
If you wanted to walk to the main street, you had quite a hill to climb on the way back
Hotel is in a nice setting & the staff was friendly & helpful.
Rooms were tired, bathrooms especially need upgrading, I couldn't use the shower in the room to wash the soap out of my hair, luckily there was a spa as I had to shower there, this is why I wouldn't return
It was comfortable.
The breakfast. Cold plate, a skin on the egg from being held too long et cetera. It was so poor that I cancelled my booking for a fortnight later. I won't be back
warm welcoming staff nice music played in the Friday evening we was there, by member of staff on the piano. dinner was first class
could do with an upgrade no disabled bays, but was very busy so maybe we never saw them!
