Excellent location friendly staff lovely food what more could you want.Highly recommended.
The food was very good, staff friendly. Good country location in walking area..
We thought for overall value it was expensive. There was nowhere to hang clothes (except on the back of the door) consequently we had to live out of suitcase. Our bedroom was above the bar and therefore subject to bar chatter. One night we were subjected to very LOUD music which went on until late.
Food at the Plough is superb, the menu is very good for a pub and the wine list was impressive if a little pricey. Rooms are quirky but very comfy, mostly built under the eaves of a lovely old, but modernised, Cotswold pub.
1) Very Comfortable bed. 2) Restaurant food excellent 3) Wifi 4) Good heating system
1) 1st room rather small with no wardrobe 2) Shower leaked badly 3) Lighting inadequate 4) No full length mirror 5) No TV 6) No complimentary biscuits in the room 7) Poor breakfast option selection - No menu. 8) Noise from bar area affects peace in room. 7) Breakfast poor option selections
Beautifully renovated and restored with all possible mod cons yet retaining the olde worlde charm and atmosphere one hopes for and expects from our country inns. Felt like one of the locals with the warmth of welcome and interest in one's welfare. Even the dogs give you a warm welcome. Such a treat to come across somewhere without television in rooms and public spaces (yes, you can live without it for a few days). Good choice on the menu and food beautifully cooked and presented. So quiet, so peaceful - not even a village store - and yet excellent for exploring the Cotswolds.
Lack of a chair or table in the room (but where would you put it?) Bathroom is so poorly lit one almost needs a guide dog - a woman's nightmare.
The Plough was clean, and had an old world atmosphere with beams etc. it was warm, comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. Handy for Stow.
No TV in rooms. Car park access a bit difficult. No restaurant on Mondays.
Excellent location a beautiful village in the Cotswolds . The Plough is a beautiful pub. The staff very welcoming.
We booked for one night, stayed four. Pluses - staff, food, ambience, location. Anyone who complained about this place is difficult.
Nothing of consequence.
for breakfast the lack of staff to attend you
Location was good - not too far from local attractions. Room was nice but a bit small. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were friendly enough, especially the resident spaniel. Breakfast was very nice.
There were no towels in the room to start with. The shower tray leaked. The lighting in the bathroom was too dim. No wardrobe space to hang clothes - we lived out of the suitcase. There was no TV or radio. Could hear music and chatter from pub downstairs in the evenings. No lighting in car park at night.
room pleasant but small for 2 single beds breakfasts good Staff friendly Quiet for a pub.
No parking no clothes storage facility Evening menu limited & samey No arrival time indicated, only by chance staff member found us.
Friendly ,comfortable, great atmosphere, good food , excellent accommodation .
Our bedroom was lovely, very quaint and cosy with a nice big bed. The pub itself is welcoming, warm and inviting and the food was fantastic! As were all the staff!
would have loved to get in the room a bit sooner!
The room and bathroom were clean
The room had very few facilities and head height was a problem. Bathroom was small and had no natural light Never did see the host! Cooked breakfast was okay but the remainder barely acceptable or non existent. Would not recommend
A fabulous little inn that has been completely renovated in the last year and a half. The staff were great and the owners a charming and most helpful young couple. We truly enjoyed visiting with them during breafast. Food at the inn was excellent! The bed was great. The shower was fabulous with lovely amenities. Because we were in the small room, we suggested a couple of folding luggage racks to make getting in and out of the luggage easier. They thought it was a great idea and realized this was a slight problem. We would have loved to have stayed for an extended period of time.....
We ate in the restaurant at nite a couple of times. Food was excellent. The steak was awesome and the cheeseburger also. Really liked the room and the bed was amazing.
Shame there was no TV upstairs in the room, and the range of bottled lagers in the bar was a bit limited. Other than that, great!
The food was amazing and the location was stunning. The plough inn was just a short drive to all of the tourist attractions and was easy to find.
The Inn was in a picturesque setting and was very homely and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The food was excellent.
There was no place to put your suitcases apart from on the floor. We were in the smallest room. There was no wardrobe only a few hangers on the back of the door. Also no chair in room so had to sit on the bed.
Location - typical Cotswolds buildings nice little village but not much to do. Quiet, relaxing. Plough Inn well refurbished, meals and rooms not overpriced.
No TV in room although WiFi works well. Could have done with a clothes rack as room had no storage space. A little noise from the pub but only up to 11pm.
