This traditional 4-star inn has a rural location in Cheshire, overlooking the Peak District. It is an hour’s drive from the National Park, has a peaceful garden, and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Rooms at The Plough Inn are traditional in style, with an en suite bathroom and a hairdryer. Each comes with a flat-screen TV, as well as facilities for making tea and coffee. The Plough has a regularly changing food menu, with a wide choice of vegetarian options. Food is fresh and homemade, and is served in the Old Barn and pub area. Full English breakfasts are available in the morning. The building is situated just off A536, close to M6. We stayed after our daughters wedding day which was perfect. The staff were really friendly and the wedding went really well. Every one enjoyed themselves. Our room was spacious and pleasesant and breakfast was excellent.

We stayed there because of a family wedding taking place at The Plough. From arrival to leaving the staff were welcoming. The room was a lot larger then we expected, with the bed being huge and comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare, very nice though. Problem with the bill in that someone put a meal on to our room but the staff couldn't have been more apologetic about it and refunded us straight away. All in all excellent value.

Nice comfortable rooms, which open straight onto the car-park as they are in a row of converted barns/stables. This was brilliant as I was travelling with my dogs and made taking them out much easier. The staff were all welcoming, and I wished I could have stayed longer. Breakfast was superb, large selection of fruit juices and a really well cooked full English.Next time I am in the area I will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. we used the facility of the family room as we had grandchildren with us. Next time to quote my wife "We'll come here on our own next time for a relaxing weekend". Thank you Plough Inn. Bit hectic at breakfast.

We booked as a large familey for a wedding reception and overnight stay. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the day. Would recommend for a weekend away or just a meal out.

It was convenient to a location where we were attending a wedding. Easy parking and nice big room Rooms clean with Coffee/Tea making facilities Right opposite the pub for any meals etc Room was cold and the duvet was thin and not really sufficient. Did find a blanket and another couple of pillows. decor bit tired and could do with a refresh

The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a wedding to go to and they let us in our rooms early, making sure everything was ready. Rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

It is very convenient for a family get-together as my sister lives in Congleton. Four of us had a delicious meal on Sunday evening. Also the breakfasts are good. You lost my reservation which came in January and caused my sister some concern when she called to say my train would be late and you didn't have it. It did get resolved as you had one room left.

We were attending a wedding and thought it was a lovely setting for a rustic ceremony. The room was very nice although had a pretty noisy plumbing system when the hot water was used. Food was excellent at the wedding and at breakfast, all the staff were attentive and smiley. We will probably return for a quiet weekend sometime in the future. The plumbing!!

Nice spacious accomodation, quiet location. We were here for a wedding, and it was a lovely venue for it in the barn. The staff were unobtrusive and very pleasant and helpful in the bar and serving the food. It was a great experience. A friend booked this for us as we had travelled from the usa to attend the wedding. I believe that a room with 2 single beds had been requested for us originally. However, it was a double bed. This was not really a problem as it was spacious enough, so we did not mention it.
