friendly staff, great food
Friendliness of staff. Good atmosphere and good food.
Location was excellent other than traffic noise at night; our bedrooms were in the front of the building next to the road.
Very friendly owners. I always get a great welcome. Excellent food.
Steps up to my bedroom.
The room was comfortable
The evening meal was over priced - we did not eat there second night
Beautiful place, good care and attention to detail - good quality tea and coffee in the room for example.
Mobile phone reception on some networks is non existent (vodafone)
Great food. Incredibly helpful staff. Very comfortable room & bed.
The staff were very helpful; and able to solve minor issues, the room was cosy and comfortable, there was tea and coffee making tray in the room, the en-suite was very nice and spacious. The food on the menu offered a broad choice.
The staff were very friendly, happy and helpful. All was excellent.
Really enjoyable two night stay. Room comfortable, nice little extras like fruit and water, tea and coffee facilities, shampoo and gel in the bathroom. Lovely feel to the pub. Real old country inn. Friendly service, dinner a bit pricey but delicious. Good breakfast as well.
Nothing to complain about at all.
Lovely friendly staff good room excellent food
The upstairs room across the yard was one of the biggest (out of hundreds) we've stayed in. Large settee and easy chairs, fresh fruit and a huge bathroom Very comfortable. Staff at breakfast very chatty as it should be
The bar was virtually empty, the two young men behind the bar seemed more intent in talking between themselves rather than even attempting to pass the time of day with us. In no was hostile or dismissive but probably the least friendly (warm) we've come across for a long time
Shabby room More like a b&b than 4star accommodation. Morning coffee stale
Helpful staff, very pleasant room and bar area
On suite a little cramped and no place to to put towels Next time will request room on ground level!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent quality - especially breakfast, which was cooked to order.
