The owners were very pleasant and helpful and the hotel is well located and very clean and comfortable. Excellent variety for breakfast including a full English. The radiators in our attic room were cold even though the central heating was on and the shower was outdated. But these are only minor criticisms.

Lovely quaint setting in traditional country village. Very friendly family owned hotel/guest house with good parking. Spotlessley clean, all facilities, great breakfast and dining plus good local pubs nearby. Max 10 mins in car from Northampton centre. If reliant on mobile internet contact wi fi limited or unavailable in odd room away from reception. The village does appears to suffer from poor 3g and mobile coverage with some providers.

I thought it was exceptionally good value for money, breakfast was very generous and it was a stress free stay. It's a very minor thing, but being a business traveller I often get to hotels about 9 pm, I would have liked to be able to get a snack but the dining room was closed. However, I do understand it is uneconomic for a hotel of this size to stay open for the occasional snack!

Excellent staff, all and friendly happy to go the extra mile to make our visit go well. The bedroom had everything in it that we might need. The room was a bit noisy as it was beside the road, even with double glazing.

Very friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Feels like you're visiting family, as the decor is cosy home rather than sleek design hotel. That's a plus for me as I don't feel like I'm away from home quite as much! Food is always great. Full English is stunning, and is by far the best part of the stay!! Wifi reception is a bit unreliable, but free, so I'm not complaining too much!! Perhaps a signal booster for the upper bedrooms would cure it though?

location was good. host was friendly, breakfast was exdellent choice as a business traveller i was concerned that the front door was locked at 9.30pm and hence registration. the decore wasa little tired. the ensuite shower tray was 16inches off floor and the shower head was 4ft from floor making it a little difficult for me at 6ft 2in to have a shower.

Just about everything - from the welcome (relief managers excellent!) to the room - well-appointed, cosy, comfy bed - and the atmosphere. Was given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfasts, too.
