Friendly staff, good breakfast and cosy fire in pub
Room just above the bar- noisy
Hospitality and nice staff and of course the fire
I thought the drink was slightly dearer
Food very good had steak one off the best I have had in a while ,staff great especially lady in reception
Value for money Room facilities Location Staff friendly
I couldn't say anything that we disliked.
The breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
There was a lot of stairs to go up to get to room 12. My mum was with us and she is 70, so she didn't look forward to climbing the stairs.
The atmosphere, food and the bar staff were all fantastic we would definitely eat there again even if we didn't stay at the hotel
On our first morning the receptionist(lady with glasses)didnt lift her head to acknowledge that we were there , even after we said good morning to her she still remained head down.we found this very rude especially as all the other staff were fantastic.
The hotel was comfy, warm, close to the beach and good breakfasts.
There was no mobile reception anywhere in the hotel. Although it states free wi-fi this is only available in the lobby not anywhere else in the hotel.
Breakfast. Deep fried bread awful
the staff breakfast and location to town center
the noise from the karoke, the chef on saturday walking past us before we had our dinner, suggest it was microwaved! it seemed priority was given to the karoke as food was served at the latest 8:30pm. the smell of smoke at the lobby's front door.
We had a lovely meal, the staff were so nice and helpful.
Staff and location
Too small corridors tight for space and no lift
The bed itself was fantastic! Extremely comfortable. The room and shower etc were all very standard and very clean. It was a bit noisy in the morning but not a big problem. The Staff were very helpful and approachable. When we got home I got a text to say an item was left behind. I called them and they said they would post it out to me at no charge. that was extremely nice of them. They did not need to do that but they did.
Friendly and very courteous staff, and a bit of Craic too. Hotel location was perfect for our stay, very good breakfast ideal place to relax will stay again for sure.
We loved the location. The food was excellent both the breakfast and evening meal. Good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The big downside was that there was no lift. The room was adequate for one night, it was on the small side and there was no ventilation, we were unable to open the window because of the noise coming from a fan outside.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Central location.
Shower was a bit cramped
Good breakfast & evening meals
floorboards too creaky
good value for money, the breakfast set you up for the next day.
Built around family's staying all staff really friendly and loved the stay have highly recommended to friends and family already
lot off stairs to climb, food was just fair
Central location, but no sleep disturbance, breakfast excellent, very helpful staff.
Close to town centre. Staff brought cases up to room. Room clean, tidy and spacious.
No lift. My parter had to go up 3 flights of stairs on crutches. Asked for a room on a lower floor but none available. Breakfast wasn't good. Really bad taste. Didn't eat in the hotel on the second morning. Wifi only on ground floor.
Excellent room, size and space. Good bathroom facilities and beds are top notch
the friendly staff and the homely atmosphere
staff friendly, atmosphere warm and welcoming, rooms warm, clean and large bathroom with great shower!
restaurant food great although dessert was a tad disappointing, a basic frozen apple tart with cheap tinned custard
outside presentation of the Port hotel
The mildew like smell on entry and when i opened the 1st hallway door the smell increased when we entered the bedroom the smell of mildew got worse i noticed dampness on the floor of ensuite beside the shower .i dont want to run the place down as i did not see the rest of the building but if i had known the state i certainly would not have paid a deposit of£20 online
