The staff were very friendly, helpful and hardworking. The location was in the middle of town with nearby cheap parking and within walking distance of a lovely beach.
Large clean room. Free us of large gym. Good value breakfast. Friendly staff. Central for town and the seafront.
Evening food ended at 8pm. Park in street.
The poor decor rooms The cleanliness The noise (nightclub downstairs) No elevators Very confusing to actually get out of the hotel.
Staff was lovely and friendly they were pleasant and helpful.
Everything very old dated, severely cracked sink and toilet. Carpeted bath and bathroom. Bed was full of springs not comfy. Bedroom would not lock. Cups were from the 70-80 style but 2 separate sizes. Windows horrendous
saturday night live music!
lights went off in the night shower didnt work
comfortable clean and friendly staff.lovely breakfast
too noisy on saturday night due to night club
In the centre of porthcawl Rooms were old skool, but fine
Not by the sea Overpriced for a pretty shabby hotel
Hi just a quick one , the Hotel was near The Highytide where the rockabilly weekend was on ,Maybe the hotels should get on board for this weekend regards Maurice Hickey .
It's over a nightclub!! The walls, windows and beds vibrated until 2.30 am. Horrendous.
Customer service is very good. Breakfast was of a very high standard. Nice relaxed atmosphere, all in all good quality accommodation.
7.15 am all that could be heard was noise coming from the gym very annoying at this time of morning.
A good price for the location breakfast was simple and enjoyable, we had dinner there also which was filling, the local drinkers were as friendly as the staff.
Although report stated night club on location it should had mentioned if going out for the evening don't come back until 2.30 when it's finished. Me and my wife got back at 1pm didn't sleep until 3p.m. The bass from the club rocked our bed not us!!!!!! Then had to up by 9.30 for breakfast
The location is great and the breakfast is great as well. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
The night club next door is very loud and u can feel the pulse while trying to sleep on fri and Saturday.
Noisy. No hair dryer , hotel in need if repair and good clean
the hotel was peaceful, clean and very central to everything. the breakfast & staff each morning was excellent. I also had a couple of dinners they were good too. Free WiFi also a great thing. Australia needs to pick up on this instead of charging us a small fortune for it
the fire alarms went off at 7.40am Tuesday 24th june. a false alarm, but no notification, or staff to advise on status, i appeared to be the only person who complied with fire saftey notice and exited the building...... maybe we are more fire saftey orientated in Australia...
Big, bright and airy room which along with the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds with clean fresh linen. Staff were friendly, polite cheerful and helpful. Big, clean bar/lounge providing (as well as drinks) a good priced, and selective menu. .
Had it not been for the in-room facilities probably would have scored high all through,so its a pity had to report a non- functioning shower*, cracked hand basin and a tv ariel that had been pulled apart *we were offered key to adjacent room to use shower..
The view the room the location all good .
Cant think of anything other than lazy parents next door who couldnt teach their kids to be quiet very noisy.
Polite staff. They were really good and friendly. Great lounge and good food. Nicely situated on the high street. The sea front is very close.
The worst part of our stay was the Gym and health club that is situated one floor below us. The music was loud and it was on a loop so it kept on going non-stop all day. Forget about having a nap, it isn't going to happen. Cold water tap in the sink didn't work. The tv didn't have a remote control but the staff did replace the set. Not that we could hear it anyway.
The only thing I can think of was the breakfast was above average Nice hot chocolate Was a little surprised when the cooked breakfast came could have done with more or for the staff to ask what we wanted
The hotel was ok it self but they had no lift for customers who have a disability or who have problems going upstairs we got to the room on the 3rd floor had problem trying to open the door when we did get in to the room it was a bit pokey the floor was slanting in 3 different directions the TV only had sky sports no normal TV the ceiling was stained the bathroom was clean but small we had no viewing of anything except the back of the hotel with a big fan going on and off every hour the bed could have been more comfy with extra pillows No tea/ coffee facility and for the price I paid for the room it should have been cheaper
Old and very tired decoration and bedding smelly
noisy, not spotlessly clean, no chance to even start your cereal before your breakfast was served, dirty crockery in the room and in the bar
friendly and helpful staff
staff are very nice and helpful its our 2nd time at the hotel and we are going back soon.
staff went out of their way to make our stay very welcome
stairs my partner had hip problems.
Lovely staff, good food. Central position. Good value for money
No parking £3 car park close by. Poor night because of night club owned by the hotel. We were on the top floor(no lift) but still it was very loud. Basic accomodation.
