With stunning views from the edge of Galloway Cliffs, Portpatrick Hotel offers a pitch and putt golf course and light, modern rooms. Portpatrick Golf Club is just a 5-minute walk away. Rooms at the Portpatrick include a private bathroom, along with free Wi-Fi and a TV. Tea/coffee facilities are provided, along with a hairdryer for guests. Modern and traditional cuisine is served in the hotel’s spacious dining room. The cosy lounge bar includes a patio area, while some nights feature live entertainment. Free parking is provided, and Logan botanic garden is a 25-minute drive. The pretty fishing village of Portpatrick is situated below the hotel along the coast. the location,as the view was lovely ,especially on A sunny day. the decor was A bit plain,being black and grey and background music in the dining room would be nice and even in the sitting areas and reception area.the bedroom we were in was A bit dated with ,flaking ceiling. the bathroom was draughty and cold and the windows need double glazed as we could here the rain and wind all night.

Location, great view over Portpatrick The basic accommodation and the very dated furniture. A shame really as the location is great.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut gelegen, mit direktem Blick zum Meer. Das Hotel ist alt, jedoch renoviert. Die Ausstattung im Zimmer bzw. im Badezimmer ist sehr alt, aber einigermaßen sauber.

The location is stunning, the views amazing and the public areas are all well done and recently renovated. Bar prices are ok for a hotel. Excellent breakfast. Our room had not been modernised, the bathroom tiles were mouldy, the wash stand was stained and the wallpaper badly discoloured. The floor was in need of structural renovation with many dips and trip hazards. The bed still had blankets on it, have they not heard of duvets. The tv was so small that it was almost impossible to see when lying in bed. I think the hotel takes advantage of Booking.com's customers and gives them the oldest and cheapest rooms. The upgraded rooms in the hotel look excellent but they are also twice the price we paid.
