Room a little too hot
Pretty room, very clean, neat and well equipped. Cottage style decor suited the ambiance of the building. Fantastic breakfast, lots of food choices and the proprietor was very keen to cater for a gluten free diet.
Difficult to find - we went up and down the high street six times. Room was quite small. Parking was a bit tight. Proprietor forgot to mention password for wifi and it wasn't worth going downstairs again to ask.
Very friendly staff who went the extra mile
nothing a really great place
Everything! Superb attention to detail. Comfortable bed, great room. premium toiletries, even premium brand biscuits with the tea and coffee in the room. Great hosts, and fantastic value for money. Just wish I had found it sooner!
Ibstock doesn't have a lot of places to eat, but there are plenty within a 15 minute drive.
Michael & Susan very welcoming, wonderful stay. Breakfast first class Would recommend
all very good
Everything. Susan was a very pleasant lady and very helpful suggesting local restaurants for us.
Very nice friendly staff. Facilities very good. Nice bedroom.
smell of cigarettes from downstairs when it's a non-smoking property was really strong.
Sue & Michael were brilliant hosts & made me feel very welcome as a solo traveller. Sue's willingness to accommodate breakfast needs was great & my bed was amazingly comfy! I'd highly recommend.
That I couldn't stay longer.
A warm welcome on arrival, a friendly smile and a helpful attitude e.g. offered me a plate and cutlery for my fish n chip supper A very good night's sleep in a clean and comfortable room followed by a very good breakfast.
Everything was fine although a fuse went next door knocking out my TV but the proprietor fixed it very quickly when asked
Susan and Malcolm very helpful and friendly Lots of extras in the room replenished each day Excellent breakfast Very clean everywhere
Parking a bit tight especially if last one in at night
We could use the dining room for a take-away.
Bed-side lights not good for reading in bed.
Helpful, friendly proprietors. Very clean. Nice touches such as chocolates in the room, huge towels tied with ribbon, tea on arrival, toiletries in the bathroom.
Nothing really. Tiny aren't thing that the tissues in the room were almost empty and it was quite hot in the dining room. As I say just minor things. Overall a lovely stay.
Michael and Susan could not have done more, they were perfect hosts. The room was very well equipped with a lovely bathroom and terrific bedroom furniture not to mention the amazing storage space provided by the walk in wardrobe (room 4). This would be really useful for longer staying guests. The bathroom had all that we needed in terms of high quality products too. And the towels were super fluffy. The breakfast was fabulous - real home made fruit salad and the best smoked haddock...the traditional english breakfast was also superb.
Nothing - we will be back!
Beautiful rooms, with attention to detail. Complimentary chocolate and sweets a nice touch. Exceptional bed linen. In the bathroom there was an abundance of soap, shampoo, hand lotions etc. We had tea delivered to room on arrival. Great breakfast, nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Will definitely return again.
There was nothing to dislike
susan the owner greeted us and showed us around then took us to our room what a lovely room so pretty with a walk in wardrobe and an on-suite with a power shower she offered to make us a hot drink as we had been travelling there was bottled water and tea and coffee in the room the towels were tied up with ribbon and chocolate on the bed a loverly place to stay
Friendly & warm welcome. Homely room with comfortable bed & modern en-suite & good breakfast.
Saniflow toilet was noisy.
Very friendly. Lovely cooked breakfast.
Lack of facilities inh the village - no pub/restaurant to walk to for an evening meal
Very nice & clean rooms Superb breakfast Welcoming owners
The hosts were very friendly helpful and welcoming.
Everything. Very welcoming and comfortable. Room lovely and everything provided. Breakfast choice good and meals freshly cooked.
Nothing. Everything was there that we needed.
Friendly staff, excellent facilities, lots of lovely touches, a fan in the bedroom in case it was hot and a hot water bottle if it wasn't. Bottled water and a selection of teas, including green. Superb breakfast, choice of 6 cereals, three juices ,freshly brewed coffee. Yoghurts, porridge, scrambled eggs etc. Lovely feather pillows on the beds, usually you get those awful foam ones.
Noise from the post office below when the delivery men arrived at seven a.m., however we were warned about this and it didn't last long.
A hidden gem. Ideal base for a short break; rooms may be slightly small for a longer stay. A lot of thought and care had gone into the high standard of presentation of the rooms. Breakfasts are outstanding! They are a major temptation to "Eat for England."!
Did not know that the Post House is next door to Ibstock Post Office - a recognised landmark on the Ibstock High St. Our Satnav indicated that we had arrived but, in the dark, it took some time for us to pick out the Post House parking sign.
Powerful shower Very helpful staff
car park could be a little easier to get in and out of.
Sue, breakfast, friendliness, comfort; everything about my stay was great. :)
Could only stay one night!
