Karen & John made us feel very welcome. The cottage is beautiful and in a great location to explore the surrounding areas. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is great and we will be sure to visit again. Highly recommended.
We only stayed 3 nights.
Hostess couldn't be more charming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcome and taken care of. The square bath was a great novelty, while I can appreciate why some might struggle with this and the sloped ceilings I think the pictures make it obvious what you're getting. The homemade biscuits and fresh milk in a mini fridge were a welcome alternative to packaged rubbish found in most hotels.
Wifi was a bit weak but not really an issue.
we were welcomed on arrival and shown all around after a very stressful journey it was nice to be able to sit in comfort and put the kettle on. the area is peaceful but not far from facilities.
poor wifi connection. so unable to keep intouch with family.
Homemade biscuits each day were a bonus. Wonderful atmosphere
Very friendly hosts. Good breakfast
Bathing facilities in room very awkward; not easy for someone with knee problems.
Cosy and comfortable. Perfect position for visiting Bristol, Bath and Wells. Excellent hostess who was friendly, informative and extremely helpful.
Nothing to dislike
The welcome, cleanliness & excellent breakfast. Easy location to find and close to Bristol & Mendips. Very friendly landlady. Exceptional attention to detail whilst renovating this old property. A very French feel throughout.
No shower!! our bath was lush, however it sat in the main bedroom. Difficult to do anything else really as the property is very old. Low head room in our room.
The friendliness and helpfulness of Karen. Style. comfort,

BUMPED MY HEAD A BIT ON SLOPING CORNERS
Personal touches - homemade biscuits in the room Lovely breakfast Excellent location & hospitality Bath tub in bedroom a luxurious touch, much needed after a long day's driving! Booked to stay again soon...
Welcome and super friendly service is amazing. Breakfast is fantastic. Beautiful 400 year old former bakery and post house being renovated but this is no construction site, it's spotlessly clean. Would return but to suite where I could stand up!
Bed is very uncomfortable, past it's best by date. Bath is pretty much unusable for all but the very flexible, being located under a very low ceiling, I would have expected a proper shower especially as this isn't a cheap option.
Very friendly welcoming hosts good information about the area .Lovely breakfast as well. Would return and recommend to others.
Karen is a great host, we had a great stay greatly thanks to her. The accomodation is very comfortable and the room we stayed in very nice!
- Very spacious - Very clean - Karen was lovely - Breakfast - And Monty the dog!!
Nothing! It was perfect
A wonderful, luxurious and romantic B&B. Karen is a charming host and goes the extra mile at all times.
I can't speak highly enough of Karen's Welcome & friendly helpfulness. I loved the style of the whole house. Our room was so comfortable with lovely touches such as fresh flowers, gorgeous homemade biscuits, cosy dressing gowns...little things I would expect of a 5 star hotel but delighted to find in this cute guesthouse....Highly Recommend & we'll definitely be back
That I couldn't stay longer :)
Beautiful rooms, real charm and character, comfortable beds, great attention to detail
A warm & friendly welcome. A quaint & quirky room in the roof space :-). Fantastic breakfast that set you up for the day. Very friendly & helpful, nothing was any trouble. Would I visit again? Yes.
