Staff generally helpful. Food, both traditional, speciality and breakfast excellent - Clarissa very personable and efficient - with an excellent memory for names and preferences, made us feel very welcome. Graham also friendly and informative. Comfy bed. Parking was easy.
Room (3) a little tired, but good value for money and clean with a comfy bed.
Very friendly and polite people. Made you feel welcome. Showed you to your room.
Lots of hot water
Our room had mildew in the corner of the room and around windows. The wallpaper was lifting and the skirting boards and paint work was dirty. I was very disappointed . The food was average and expensive for what we had .
Amplasat intr-o locatie pitoreasca, cu vedere spre verdele dealurilor, este desprins ca din poveste! M-am simtit minunat, iar personalul este extrem de prietenos si saritor!
bus stop nearby
rather far away from town
Traditional English pub in the countryside. Quiet location, ample (free) parking. Perhaps a bit far from Bath if you haven't got a car, but bus stop just up the road. Good meals and wifi access. An enjoyable stay.
Good quiet location, good food & staff
Not much apart from the handy location for Bath and the friendly lady who served breakfast who was eager to please.
Where do I start? The place was grubby, dated and shabby. Graeme was unfriendly, hostile and not welcoming. The room was small, had poor lighting , peeling wallpaper and a broken towel rail. It was certainly not value for money and I am surprised that Booking. Com continue to allow customers to stay there looking at all the negative feedback. Graeme needs customer training and lessons on how to make you feel welcome. What a contrast to our previous stay!!!!! We will not be returning to the Prince of Wales in Bath:( Disappointing Booking.Com!
The Proprietor was very helpful and informative. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety and we were able to come and go as we wished. Conveniently placed for the Park and Ride service into Bath.
free internet, free parking, clean room, very friendly woman for the breakfast
far from Bath, poor breakfast, check in not friendly,
Upon arrival at 10pm, I checked in and was shown to my room, as opposed to just being told where it was as is the norm. I booked a single and was given a double. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows soft. Breakfast was fantastic
Breakfast only being between 8am and 9am on a weekend, an extra half hour would have been appreciated.
No WiFi no BBC TV channels but pleasant staff clean airy room. Good Value in summer.
Not a lot, the philippino food was nice
Bed, noise, particularly the first night (doors slamming etc;)
easy bus route to city, nice breakfast
a bit tired looking
the owner agreed to be there on arrival at 3pm. we rang the bell knocked on all windows, they were open, rang him on the phone 4 times which he did not pick up. at 5 pm he answered the phone and let us in I said why did you not open when we were knocking and to which he said we only open at 5 pm even though we had agreed a time of 3pm. the guy obviously has a problem what I do not know but I would strongly say do not book this place
The restaurant meal was very good
The shower did not work properly
Room not well cleaned or maintained. Traffic noise.
Everything was great!
Noise, staff attitude.
The breakfast was very good, the Lady serving it was great.
Could not open windows or curtains because scaffolding all outside, builders were plastering and painting .nobody said anything about work going on.and what time they would be starting.
Good bus service every 15 minutes. Rooms clean.
No interaction with staff except one young girl and she was very helpful. Unfortunately, scaffolding was up so no views but beautiful views outside.
Very nice room decoration
I didn't feel safe bdcause of the door locks. Room next to the sheet, noise of cars passing by.
Room No.One was poorly maintained and very very dirty - Shower absolutely disgusting - Bedroom had wallpaper peeling off, paint flaking off & black mould on ceiling - intrusive road noise making it impossible to have windows open and sleep - Scaffolding surrounding building giving impresiion of staying on a building site - Ridiculously overpriced accommodation, even at half the price - Decor oh so dated.
Rooms small Staff needed Customer Service training Breakfast Very basic
