Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was excellent, location was both delightful and convenient, bedroom was comfortable with all amenities.
A minor point: the TV occasionally seemed to have a weak signal - maybe a (better?) satellite system might be the answer ?
The location, the friendlyness of the owners, the quietness, closeness to beautiful highland places and Road to the Isles, the breakfast with the salmon, the best we had on our trip!
Room was a bit close to the kitchen ventilation...
Excellent food. Nice and warm room. Very good service.
the staf were very friendly and made you feel welcome the meals were excellant relaxed efficient family run hotel we were very pleased we stayed there
Ina - a charming and knowledgeable hostess who treated each of her guests as though they were her personal friends. Parking just across the road. A good range of well cooked food served efficiently. A handy location for working in Fort William and Skye.
Not having a proper shower
- friendliness of staff who went out of their way to welcome us and make sure our stay was comfortable - homely atmosphere - first class food on an exciting menu - comfortable room with everything we needed - beautiful location and surrounding area
midgies! hardly a minus really as they get everywhere in Summer
attentive staff amazing food highly recomend
The food here is great. Locally sourced and treated with care. You know you are in luck when the bar menu is better than most restaurants! The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The hotel is family run and they have really figured out what visitors to the area are likely to want, right down to the mean times and packed lunches. The owners and staff also go the extra mile to be helpful. We are so pleased to have lucked upon this place at the last minute.
Not much. We have stayed in a lot of places in Scotland and this is the best so far.
friendly staff and good food.
Bed was too soft.
the separate taps of the basin, the shower.
Friendly and efficient family owners A touch of class with everything there
great staff, great stay. Glad to not be staying in Fort William. Further out is a lot more beautiful
Fantastic customer service. Nothing was too much. Definitely recommend it.
Good position for Glenfinnan monument. Friendly and helpful proprieters
Nothing really. All satisfactory.
the food and the ambience
Location, family delightful, food top drawer.
Wider and better internet WIFI needed throughout rooms would be a bonus. . Think this is a Scotish issue though.
Very warm welcome. Owners remember your name. Food very good.
+Dinner +personal Service +Lunch boxes +Breakfast view into the highlands
A lovely place to stay if your travelling in this area - the food is superb!
Friendly and competent staff and owners. Brilliant scenery and location - not far from the railway staion. Good food and drink. And so supportive to us two ancients who are not that mobile that Keiron, the owner, even carried our luggage to Glenfinnan station in the rain - a truly caring and heroic gesture!
The female owner and her son were extremely polite and very helpful.
Far too expensive for what they were providing. Exactly zero atmosphere. Rooms need refurbishing. Paid a discounted price of £120 for a room that had an old bed and a showerhead which you had to attach to the wall and which only directed the spray over the top of the shower curtain. The shower was not thermostatically controlled and burned you if you were too slow in standing aside.
Everything at the hotel was presented and done to the highest standard: comfortable and elegant rooms, exquisite food and great hospitality from all staff.
Nice building. Good breakfast.
very old hotel, need some refurbishment. No lift.
