This 16th-century inn is in the beautiful Wye Valley, in the cider orchards between Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. It has free on-site parking, free Wi-Fi, a traditional bar and a modern restaurant.

A nice place with a friendly welcome. Great food, tranquil setting, and a cosy bar. These should all add up to a great place to stay when on business.
Unfortunately woeful internet (basically non existant), terrible mobile signal, and no stand up shower (they promise to be addressing this though) puts me off booking into the Priory any time in the near future.
Beautiful place run by lovely people. Nice and quiet too.
A lovely family run hotel in a beautiful setting with easy access to many areas of beauty and interest to visit. The food was good
Evening menu was limited
Food and lay out of hotel
Bed a little uncomfortable
Bit quiet-but midwek
Very enjoyable breakfast Clean Quiet location
On our arrival the receptionist was very unhelpful. She told us "the bar is closed but it might be open at 5". She gave us a phone number for a taxi we wanted to book but didn't offer to book it for us. She then told us "you're in room 7, .............pause.......do you want me to show you ?" We couldn't use the restaurant as it was booked out for a function and when the bar did finally open it was crowded with people attending said function, it was closed again when we arrived back from our evening out at 11.15 pm. The room was just OK but chilly when we walked in and the radiator wouldn't turn on. It had one small table upon which there was a lamp, an information folder and the tea/coffee tray so no room to put anything. The Kettle was not plugged in so we either had to move the table, feed the lead down the back to plug in or place the kettle on the floor to use as the lead was so short. The glass protectors on the bedside cabinets slid about every time we touched them and the wardrobe was too short to hang evening wear. The bathroom had only one very small glass shelf so, again, no space for our toiletries, the toilet seat was so cheap and flimsy that it shifted if you sat on it, the heated towel rail wouldn't turn on. and there was no bathroom bin. All in all, although the actual hotel was very pleasant I consider £120 per night for a mediocre room very over priced. I have rated the staff as poor with the exception of the young girl who served us at breakfast, who was extremely pleasant. When I raised my concerns with the owner I got the impression that she was not at all worried as I had "booked through bookings.com and not booked direct" Each of these faults are not major in themselves but all together made our stay not a good one. We were made to feel we were in the way of their real business of holding functions. Would certainly not book again or recommend to anyone...
Very friendly family,good parking,nice breakfast.
To far out of town for us,could not get an evening meal,so had to get taxis, bar not open unless they had a function, expected more after reading website.
I loved the room and the old character of the place
we could not check in or even use a room to change into our wedding clothes even though we were a group of 8 paying good money. My partner and I had to change into our wedding outfits at someone's house who we did not no including expence of taxis to and from the house. The wedding started at 3. Not impressed
Very friendly staff/proprietors.. Comfortable room. Very good breakfast.
Lovely environment with a very homely approach. Nicely set out with great gardens and accommodation.
