The staff and the hotel were great, I only stayed for two nights and although in the off season the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.
GOOD FOOD WELL PRESENTED,VAIRED AND INTERESTING MENU. NOT THE USUAL GASTRO PUB FOOD.
Comfortable rooms & good choice of food in the restaurant
well run clean food excellent as are staff
room a little small for a double
Food was excellent both evening meal and breakfast and staff were very friendly in a relaxed natural way
The Priory served wonderful home cooked food,It was so cosy there was a lovely wood burning stove. They made you feel so welcome. It was so nice to be able to take our Chocolate Labrador Rolo with us.
My husband and I have just returned home after spending one night here. We were given a warm welcome by Julie when we checked in - we were allocated the Grizedale room which was absolutely amazing! Lovely finishing touches and an enormous shower room! Oh and not forgetting to mention the homemade biscuits!! Our evening meal was delicious and was freshly cooked to order - compliments to the Chef! Breakfast did not disappoint either.....everything so fresh and nicely presented. A special thank you to Rachel who looked after us during our stay. Will definitely be planning a return visit in the summer months.
The attitude of the staff. They were very friendly and did a very good job.
The WiFi was not good and, in fact we were unable to connect at all. However, this did not affect our enjoyment of our stay
Personal greeting and welcome - comfortable room with character - everything available on site including excellent breakfast and food throughout the day.
All was great ,staff, food, ambiance any problems can be easily dealt with
We have stayed before and was very impressed but just little things needed a little attention No light in one ladies toilet ,no toilet roll in another and the bedroom was very cold We know its winter but nevertheless. However we would stay again because little things can be dealt with and we love this hotel Still give it top marks
I'm afraid I had to leave early due to a family emergency. I intend to revisit and stay for the evening again. Was disappointed to leave
The Inn is located in a very pretty village, and the small restaurant/bar is beautiful. We loved the cheerful log burner. The entrance to the accommodation wing is totally separate, and we had our own front door key so we could come and go as we liked. The room was very pretty, spotlessly clean and the staff were excellent. We will definitely stay there again.
The bed was small and wobbly, not a big deal really.
Ease of checking in. Breakfast excellent Room Excellent Not conventional B & B hotel looks small from outside but has a large bar & restaurant. Even has an outdoor pursuits shop. This is second time of staying there and will stay again
Very friendly staff good food and very chillin
Room was a little cold a.electric fire in fireplace would look nice
Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent food, roaring fire in bar.
Helpful, friendly staff - the proprietor even drove us 10 miles to the start of one of our days' walks. Comfortable room, excellent food and fast Wi-Fi.
We had a well presented evening meal which was excellent and good value for money.
Characterful property Friendly staff Comfortable bed Spacious room and ensuite Good shower Fruit salad at breakfast
Room (Nicky's Nook) above kitchen, so too hot. Staff seemed aware of this, so why not provide a thinner duvet or just a sheet for this particular room? Noise from kitchen extractor fan, railway and motorway as window was open in attempt to cool down room. Disappointing cooked breakfast.
We were dealt with very friendly and competent staff during our stay. The Priory has a very relaxed welcoming feel about it. Great for a chill out weekend. Fish and chips was so good we couldnt resist it on the second night too.
The bedroom was small and a little too warm. The shower was very small and a larger person would find it almost impossible to get in and out of it.
Very good welcome, splendid food, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent for a short stop over which was all we wanted.
There was nothing not to like, but we would probably find it a bit small for a longer stay unless we were out and about all day.
friendly check staff, good rooms, comfortable, dining room stood out for it's décor, good choice of food, reasonable prices, big breakfast. off street parking.
unable to stay longer.
Very nice en-suite and a comfortable bed
I only stayed for one night, if I had been staying a week there would not have been sufficient room to hang clothes or drawer space
Good bar food and real ale on tap. Freshly cooked breakfasts. Friendly staff throughout make the stay enjoyable.
Some rooms are a little worn now and suffer from damp. Rooms at the front of the buildings seem less affected. Wifi reception is very affected by location in the buildings.
From booking in to booking out the staff where so very helpful and cheerful, not pushy but always there when required. The room was clean tidy and had all you could need for a comfortable stay. When it came to dining the food was excellent and a good choice. The range of beers etc was also excellent. I will definately use it again when in that area
Accommodation and food excellent.Staff very friendly and helpfull
