Very friendly staff good food and very chillin
Room was a little cold a.electric fire in fireplace would look nice
Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent food, roaring fire in bar.
Helpful, friendly staff - the proprietor even drove us 10 miles to the start of one of our days' walks. Comfortable room, excellent food and fast Wi-Fi.
We had a well presented evening meal which was excellent and good value for money.
Characterful property Friendly staff Comfortable bed Spacious room and ensuite Good shower Fruit salad at breakfast
Room (Nicky's Nook) above kitchen, so too hot. Staff seemed aware of this, so why not provide a thinner duvet or just a sheet for this particular room? Noise from kitchen extractor fan, railway and motorway as window was open in attempt to cool down room. Disappointing cooked breakfast.
We were dealt with very friendly and competent staff during our stay. The Priory has a very relaxed welcoming feel about it. Great for a chill out weekend. Fish and chips was so good we couldnt resist it on the second night too.
The bedroom was small and a little too warm. The shower was very small and a larger person would find it almost impossible to get in and out of it.
Very good welcome, splendid food, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent for a short stop over which was all we wanted.
There was nothing not to like, but we would probably find it a bit small for a longer stay unless we were out and about all day.
friendly check staff, good rooms, comfortable, dining room stood out for it's décor, good choice of food, reasonable prices, big breakfast. off street parking.
unable to stay longer.
Very nice en-suite and a comfortable bed
I only stayed for one night, if I had been staying a week there would not have been sufficient room to hang clothes or drawer space
Good bar food and real ale on tap. Freshly cooked breakfasts. Friendly staff throughout make the stay enjoyable.
Some rooms are a little worn now and suffer from damp. Rooms at the front of the buildings seem less affected. Wifi reception is very affected by location in the buildings.
From booking in to booking out the staff where so very helpful and cheerful, not pushy but always there when required. The room was clean tidy and had all you could need for a comfortable stay. When it came to dining the food was excellent and a good choice. The range of beers etc was also excellent. I will definately use it again when in that area
Accommodation and food excellent.Staff very friendly and helpfull
Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Room maybe slightly faded but very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent restaurant using local produce in an original and creative way- cheeseboard particularly delicious! Would recommend for either overnight stay or as ideal base for exploring.
The quirkiness of the place is interesting and is really a pub/B&B-very pleasant and helpful staff. Odd and eclectic eating surroundings. Service good. Very pleasant exterior patio area. Good breakfasts.
Coat hangers repaired with cellotape, no lock on the gent's lavatory door which had to be kept shut with one's foot, the use of a door chain to open the bedroom window?.
Relaxed and comfortable, idyllic village setting, worth the experience. Very good food best chunky chips for a long time! Comfortable bed and very good service. Quaint bedrooms and building yet tastefully contemporary restaurant.
Noise from other guest rooms, small room, very small shower room with weak shower. TV so small could not read guide information.
Village location Old style accommodation Food Service
Heating could have been better Wi-Fi limited
The people are lovely and the restaurant serves good food in a pleasant atmosphere. An interesting village, away from it all and yet so close to the road.
Comfy rooms, wonderful staff, excellent food! Really enjoyed my stay and would deffinatly recommend!
The food was excellent, staff very friendly, close to the motorway but without the noise. Would love to come back and explore the village a little bit more.
food excellent ,very helpful
Food was good for both dinner and breakfast with pleasant efficient service throughout. Quiet village location but very close to M6.
High price for 'luxury' room that was suffering from serious problems with damp and attendant musty smells.
Location - perfect for walks. Restaurant - good menu and good quality. Huge room
WiFi only in the room so couldn't do any work in the restaurant or garden.
Location close to M6 but feels very rural. Breakfast and service good Drink and snacks in bedroom.
Decor a bit dated.Signs of damp on wallpaper and window cills rotten.
The friendly staff, the fantastic food and the genuine warmth of the Priory make it an easy choice for a stay when visiting family and friends. This was our 2nd time with them and whilst the room we had this time was a little small it had everything we needed. Heartily recommend this little gem in one of the most beautiful parts of Lancashire.
Pleasant staff, Restaurant food excellent, especially the Risotto Room lovely and airy
Noise from the kitchen extractor and parking when busy
