Beautiful setting, pretty grounds and building.
Grotty room. No hotel lounge room. Dirty shower. Breakfast poor.
Lovely hotel in a lovely place
Restaurant. Location Food. Helpful staff.
Bed too small Breakfast menu somewhat limited.
easy access to the local attractions, onsite parking, comfortable bed, extensive breakfast
Nice hotel, helpful staff nice location
Room was incredibly hot. Sausages at breakfast were foul.
Our room #1 was quite impressive and had a beautiful outlook over the garden. The restaurant is great .
The room was a little too warm
The restaurant was excellent and usual. The food was beautifully prepared and very fresh
Breakfast could be upgraded a bit with fresh fruit and better choice of menu. After the dinner it was a little disappointing
Great place in all ways. Restaurant is 5 star. There is even parking.
No biscuits! Burnt egg!
The room was lovely The location was lovely Female staff were lovely
The male staff were rather gruff and abrupt Mixed colour crockery at the breakfast table....a bit reminiscent of a side street cafe. Male waiter had to ask three times whether we wanted white or brown toast with breakfast
The breakfast set up and food was lovely.
The bed was a bit to small.
Reception staff Bar staff Restaurant staff. Wifi- excellent. Room clean. Evening meal outstanding. Breakfast good. Big car park.
The weather was poor, but that's not the hotel's fault :-) The address is hard to find by sat nav.
Excellent hospitality and comfort
Friendly staff, excellent location, friendly atmosphere !
Room was very warm
Nice building set in a beautiful village. Easy parking.
-Collars must be worn in the lobby at night. -The breakfast is served in a very dark room by very grumpy staff. The english breakfast was a grease bomb and the continental option was pretty much just a packet of corn flakes. That experience really ruined our morning. -Our room was on the garden side, but still very noisy.
Friendly staff, fantastic setting, ultimate comfort. Great getaway from the city with fast free WiFi. Delicious dishes with so much to choose from, including options for vegetarians.Thank you very much!
Would have been lovely to have been able to have breakfast in the gorgeous hotel grounds. Great outdoor seating area, right next to Roman ruins.
The staff was the best and the lunch and dinner menus are excellent.
I happened to be in a room on the back side of the hotel with no noise. Others in my group were in a room facing the street, across from the pub. It was noisy and kept them awake.
My room location, good. Facilities in room great.
Room not cleaned to normal standard, ie dead bugs, flies on window chills, carpet shabby, waited 35minutes for breakfast to be served.
The ambience, the lovely gardens where you could sit ,relax and sip a decent red wine, before sitting down to a more than reasonable meal. No rush, no hassle.
The shower was a let down for such a place. Very weak, and more of a drip than a shower.
Loved the location and beautiful grounds
The bed was really hard and uncomfortable
Outdoor dining, wide variety of fish and seafood on the menu. Staff were friendly.
The recent dress code means that men must wear a shirt with a collar or borrow a shirt? to be served in the bar. Rooms are motel style and could do with a refresh.
It's a beautiful hotel with a peaceful atmosphere and surroundings, friendly staff, good car park and an excellent restaurant
The plumbing in the annex leaves something to be desired and in the morning the temperature of the shower can go very then cold as other residents are using the water.
I like the location in the centre of town and the gardens.
The entrance to the rooms in the annex was like a store room and the room itself was a bit shabby
excellent location, friendliness of staff and I liked the room I was allocated. Good breakfast.
Some of the furniture now a bit worse for wear, but maybe in keeping with a historical building?
