The setting The accomodation The breakfast
No WiFi in the accoodation and unable to connect to WiFi in the pub / restaurant.
Staff we're lovely and friendly, breakfast was great,
Was disappointed that the only channels on the TV was BBC only,
Location Food Comfy bed
This is our second stay at the Pyewipe and the friendly staff provided service which was excellent all round. Good size room in the adjacent lodge with all,of the normal facilities and serviced well over our 3 day stay. Great menu available in both the bar and restaurant. Good terrace on the banks of the canal in a delightful country setting. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great location very nice pint of beer
Bedroom curtain track was in a poor condition.
riverside location with bankside path to Lincoln. No hassle parking. Perfect for our overnight stop or more. Food good. Overall good value & friendly.
No Wifi but location may mean restricted speed. A46 nearby but that does not impact on sleeping accommodation in new block.
The fact that although it was in a beautiful setting, it was only a short drive into Lincoln. Food was especially good and value for money.
Menu was very good. We stayed two nights and were able to choose very different meals on each occasion. There was a problem with hot water on the ground floor of the Lodge which required us to move rooms but this was resolved quickly and efficiently. We chose to walk into Lincoln along the canal bank which was easy walking and interesting.
Agree with the comment previously made about signage on the main road - maybe a problem with council regulations but a little more warning would be much better.
The staff, food and location were just what we were looking for, Lovely walk into Lincoln along the canal,
The staff and the food are both excellent, nothing is too much trouble.
Everything was great
Nice location right by the water
The driveway fr the main road was much to narrow and should be widened
Very clean and comfortable, good choice for breakfast, nice sized bedrooms, good value for money.
Staff at breakfast were a bit abrupt, there were no specific tables allocated to room numbers, and they seemed to be trying to squeeze everyone into one corner and seemed a bit annoyed that we wanted to sit at a table with a bit more space. The pub is about a 20minute pleasant walk (if you're fairly fit) from Lincoln, but another 20-30mins to the centre and old town respectively, which was a bit of a surprise.
The food was particularly good. Breakfast was just right for choice, quantity and quality and the evening meal was to a very high standard. The canal side location is idyllic; a very pleasant, level walk to the centre of Lincoln past the geese and the fishermen.
Single beds large size and excellent
I would like blinds on the windows which overlooked the car park Please don't use powdered egg for scramble eggs
Nice location by the canal. Helpfull and cheerfull staff..
Good food, friendly staff, plenty of tea and coffee and quality biscuits in the room
Bed too soft
Location, quietness, excellent staff. Delicious Food
EXCELLENCT LOCATION BY THE CANAL GREAT IF YOU LIKE TO WALK WHICH WE DID INTO LINCOLN 20MINS. EXCELLENT FOOD ACCOMADATION GOOD STAFF EXCELLENT.
ROOM WAS VERY GOOD AND VERY CLEAN. ABIT DATED NOW DECOR. BUT HAD AWFUL NIGHTS SLEEP AS COULD HEAR VOISE FROM AJOINING BEDROOM. ALRIGHT FOR AN OVER NIGHT STAY.
bedroom well fitted, large towels and full coffee facilities.
bedroom was not attended to on middle morning of 3 night stay. food was all very large portions, too much for us,but no obvious choice, only menu we could find on large blackboard in bar,too rushed.Just a niggle, but i wouldn't do it this way.
The room was comfortable.
we didnt like the bathroom. Shower splashed everywhere, even on the back walls. Toilet when flushed was very noisy. There was a hole in the back wall where the door had obviously hit it and had not been repaired, also the floor did not look very clean. I also did not like the hairdryer as you had to hold your finger on it to keep working.
We were able to leave the car in the car park and walk each day into Lincoln along the towpath. It is a really pleasant walk and only takes about 30 minutes, no driving around looking for places to park & it's free. The room we stayed in had everything we needed for a two night stay, the bed was very comfortable, it was really good value for money. We had a meal in The Pyewipe one evening & the food was really good.
Morning walk along the canal.
The turn in is tricky - hidden and poorly sign posted. Also takes time to get out again.
Everything. Food was wonderful
