Amazing staff and great food - recommend breakfast. Manager put us in a lovely room each time we stayed (2 nights) - both clean and very comfortable with beautiful decor. Lovely location away from the busy tourist area. Couldn't ask for better.

    Nothing.

The room was beautifully decorated and a lovely place to be. We loved the fact that there was a bath-we only have a shower at home so it was such a treat! The hotel is situated in a beautiful area. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We didn't have the opportunity to have dinner there but would love to on our next stay as the menu looked fantastic.

Warmth of welcome and the very pleasant staff who willingly offered assistance -I walk with a crutch. The beautiful view of the hills and flowering trees. The fire and seats in the bar area. The ambience of the Restaurant area.

The turn into the car park was difficult and very steep. The price of the evening meal was high. Small portions only offered on one item on the menu. Too may cushions and soft toys on the bed.

I was late arriving after along day trekking and I was greeted with such concern and friendliness. The room was wonderful. The food was presented beautifully and effortlessly by all of the staff involved. I congratulate you on a wonderful place and exceptional staff. This is not said lightly as I have travelled and stayed at hotels with supposedly high ratings The Queens Head can be rated among the top! Well done ! I will be visiting again.

Evening meal & service both good

Waited 40 minutes to have our order taken for breakfast, breakfast definately not as good as it was on previous visits. Only 1 member of staff serving. When asked if everything was ok to which we replied that it wasn't as good as previous visits we were ignored by the guy on the bar.

    Amazing room, very good food.

Waited too long for food, was told i hadn't been charged for a kids meal, therefore it hadn't gone through to kitchen, an honest mistake by the barstaff but i was still expected to pay for the kids meal. I think it would have been appropriate to offer me kids food complimentrally as we had waited so long. Food was amazing though!

It was not our first stay at The Queens Head so we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. My only criticism was that the room we had was rather small, however since ours was a late booking and we took the last standard room we could hardly complain.

Where shall I start? The decor, the food, the friendly staff, the open fires and the general ambienceof the place.

We have been before and found the hotel excellent. However not this time. There is a clear difference between standard and superior rooms. But it had a lovely welcome, a roaring open fire which was lovely. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

The toilet didnt flush. Buzzing noise unbearable from the tv. Hair clips found in the bathroom on the floor.

Bar areas were lovely, warm and comfortable. Bedroom nicely furnished.

Room outlook dreadful , no privacy. Far too warm, no opening windows. A real disappointment.

    Everything was superb except ....

the mattress on our bed (room 1) was so hard, like a wooden board, and we slept hardly at all. Such a shame. Sorry Queen's Head.
