Floor boards above were creaky but it's an old property so to be expected.
Great staff, lovely room and good location. Will stay again. I didn't have breakfast so can't rate that.
It's a lovely old building, so the rooms are not of equal size and there is no air cooling (so the rooms at the very top, quaint and characterful as they are, can get rather stifling in the heat of the summer).
It's a smaller hotel than others, which makes it much more 'cosy'. The Breakfasts are excellent, and staff extremely friendly and efficient. I have stayed many times on business and not had a bad experience.
The Olive Tree food very good
Trying to park when we first arrived. But this was not a major issue.
Very handy for town center and railway stations. The reason why we stayed was to go to watch the rugby at Sandy Park, and this was an ideal location for this.
The rooms have no soundproofing so its very noisy. You can hear noise from fooms next door in passage. Room was quite small. No refrigerator
Only downside for me was that free wifi only available in lounge but this would not deter me from staying here again
~Great location with a council car park just opposite the hotel. ~Close to both St Davids and Central Station, City Centre and Northernhay Park. ~Really friendly staff ~Lovely breakfast menu - can't believe it's included in the price. This hotel beats the Premier Inn on every level!!!
excellent quiet location
Small inconvenience: there are no city maps and bus scheme at reception
Amazing restaurant, though food is pretty expensive even with 15% discount proposed by the hotel Comfortable and clean room
All good... Although wifi wasn't free
Location, friendly staff.
Badly needs a deep clean (headboard stained) No central heating in our room with no warning on our arrival. Seriousy needs a well overdue renovation.
Excellent breakfast in Olive Tree next door
Paid for breakfast but due to prior arrangements never actually managed to try it.no-one's fault just our plans got in the way. I believe it's enjoyable. Didn't require room being made up but this also meant refreshments weren't replenished.
Staff are always polite, courteous and professional. Very welcoming!
No allocated free parking. Wifi didn't work in our room.
Very clean hotel with nice furniture and great centric location. Rooms are big enough and very comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel serves really nice food.
The kettle was really grim. Dusty and grimey.
Excellent location and a beautiful building. Really helpful friendly staff.
Small bedroom Dated bathroom Dirty glasses in bathroom and bedroom Floor in bathroom dirty
Breakfast good Location good
Key for the front door didn't work so had to stand outside knocking on the door ringing the phone number given for about an hour before another couple staying happened to be coming back and let us in
Parking was stated as self parking in their own zones but no mention of additional cost. There was use of public car parking, directly across the road from the Queens Court Hotel, but needed to pay prior to 8am the following morning as per additional length of stay.
Taking the payment on checkout Staff friendly Very good breakfast
dinner in restaurant not as good as anticipated
Fab bed, lovely breakfasts with plenty of choices, friendly and obliging staff
I was on the top floor near the lift and could heAR IT MOVING.
Great good-value hotel, good breakfast hot shower, it even has a pool and sauna ! The staff were great.
Website states ample carpaking however due to other accommodation in area parking almost impossible
Room was pokey, Tall people would had problems we were cramped in the eves of what was a badly done loft conversion. Luckily we were only staying one night. Bathroom let down by mould on tile grouting.
Interactions with staff was fine.
Parking can be an issue. In this day & age there should be free internet connection in bedrooms
Location of hotel & friendly & helpful staff
We stayed there for two nights over the weekend. The hotel is centrally located which makes a perfect base for exploring the sights of Exeter. Beautiful old building with a lot of character.
I burnt my finger on one of the reading lamps. reception were able to provide some burns gel which relieved the pain.
Excellent breakfast, free wi-fi
Room small but a great big bathroom.
Location is excellent, fantastic breakfast and helpful, friendly staff.
