Situation and room.Morning shower, water hot(got up early to be sure!).
Light over mirror didn't work in bathroom."heated" towel rail didn't work.Hot water for evening shower only "aired"-too cold to shower!
Good location, nice views, lovely and warm. Would stay again.
Shower almost on top of toilet built in a large closet. Very basic, no biscuits with tea and coffee.
Great hotel, you are sent a code to access the building. Well presented and plenty of good local pubs and a shop.
The automated lights in the corridors could do with staying on a little longer to give guests time to get up and down the stairs.
This is a non-staffed building which works for one night and is convenient for events in the village. I didn't actually feel that it was very well looked after and cleanliness could be improved, carpets badly stained which is off putting. I think it's expensive for what it is but as its the only place in the village I guess it's how it is. It was handy from the point of view that you don't have to wait around for someone to check You in so that was a plus. No breakfast service I see as a big minus as there is nowhere in the village on a Sunday to get breakfast.
Close location to Church.
Not sent pin codes so could not get in until a very kind lady rang the owner for help.Unfortunately we also had a Fly infestation whilst we were there.
No contact or interface with staff.
Carpet, bath and bathroom floor dirty and generally not clean.
Good rooms, clean & fresh, efficient service. Good food in pub over the road. TV remote fixed quickly.
Parking not on site - but this turned out no problem at all - parked closer than some hotel car parks.
The room was exactly as described. However 2 tea bags and no biscuits was a bit mean.
Clean Comfortable Nicely renovated Historic
Had to leave too early the next morning (due to travel plans)
where its situated the room was lovely very comfy bed loved the bath
the dead spiders and the dust
Space Facilities Quality of Furnishings Surrounding Countryside Local Pubs
Location for the wedding was excellent. Cleanliness of the place was good.
No breakfast included.
The bath was incredible
Having to get up.
Everything, it is in a beautiful area, peaceful and scenic but close to many places of interest. Just up the road to an old school-friend and some relatives I have in the area. No problem parking and a friendly warm and safe environment to stay in. I will be staying there again at some future point in time. Highly recommend! P.S. As an author I found this to be a really enchanting setting and may well use it in one of my future fiction novels.
Nothing, it suited my needs perfectly.
Very clean, comfortable
We got there and the place was completely locked up. We had to go to the pub across the street, and the poor waiters had to call the owner on his cell phone to give us two PIN numbers to get into the room. We never actually saw or spoke to a single employee, and instead had to haste the poor waiters (who are completely not affiliated with the hotel) for everything we needed (wifi password, room keys, etc). The whole experience was bizarre and a little creepy. Also there is no privacy. We booked a twin room, got a double instead, and there was no door to the bathroom- just an open loft with a bathtub and toilet. You better feel comfortable around whoever you stay at this place with.
Beautiful village location we were attending a wedding and decided to stay in the Queens Lodge which we found to be of a very good standard. We booked a double room but was upgraded to a suite which was lovely......would recommend
The accommodation was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the price was most reasonable.
Everything was fine really, we met no staff as entry and room key was obtained digitally by using a pin number. We were provided with a telephone number though incase of any problems or queries.
Clean, efficient & inexpensive with plenty of character. I liked the seamless ability to book and show up without having any human interaction, but having the assurance through text messaging that my booking was confirmed, also providing all of the info I needed in a single text message, including the WiFi details.
No shower in the lowest price room - bath only
Good value for money, central in Belbroughton, good decor
We booked the small double. Fine if you are close to your fellow traveller - there was no door on the bathroom, which was not mentioned in the room description! Also no shower, just a bath. More of a single room with a big bed. Would have preferred staff on site at least for checking in and out, not even any instructions in rooms for how to pay, how to contact owner etc.
Position ideal for access to venue of our activity.
Shower lacked a soap dish.
Not very clean, dust and cobwebs around. Bed sheets torn, i wouldnt put sheets on my own bed in that condition let alone for guests. Not able to change position of shower head, so not good. No contact with any staff, felt very cold and not welcoming.
Lovely rooms, well designed, very warm, great location...nothing made of that when we booked...its really delightful
Contact for access needs to be done the day before arrival...had not realised, no staff at this location, not even to give access. Attention to detail...missing lightbulbs etc.Ought to be clear that there are stairs in some rooms from bedroom to bathroom for elderly guests, but the design is great.
Pleasant room in a good location, opposite an excellent eating place.
The total lack of staffing. Unable to get through to emergency tel.no. No attention to detail-light above keypad to gain access without bulb-very dark. C.H. not working and controls away from the room. Velux type blind could not be fastened to keep out morning light. Minute bathroom is unsuitable to be a wetroom. No parking on site and no advice about where to park in spite of being assured in advance that parking is on site. Phone call to give us the necessary codes arrived just as we were leaving home-1st we knew that lodge would be totally unstaffed. Definitely cannot recommend.
