Accessibility to town centre lovely views of the river
Late check in.
The reception staff were lovely. The chefs were exceptionally friendly and the food was amazing. We will definitely use again and thoroughly recommend this hotel
i liked everything about it ...the hotel the location ...we had some lovely meals not far from hotel ...lots of things to see ...only ten minutes walk from train station
there was nothing that i didnt like only having to come home
Attitude at front desk. Freezing room temperature
cleanliness and size of the rooms, good breakfast but had to queue on the Sunday morning. Staff efficient and were all ready with my booking. The hotel is very close to the town centre.
Room keys (credit card type) were difficult to use.
Lovely view of the river from the coffee lounge, the breakfast tasted good but was very limited.
The night staff was a very abrupt person. The front of house did not greet us as we came down the stairs for breakfast. The lady who was working in the restaurant and we also saw at the front of house was completely unable to smile.
The hotel was easy to find, really friendly staff. Lovely breakfast, nice clean room.
Wifi was a bit slow. Not major. Hairdryer was no use and shower bit slow, mostly a dribble
Liked being next to the river
The towels were too small, child size. The coffee was not nice, would have expected better quality coffe facilities.
The room was wonderful, spaceous, clean and nice to chill out in after a day shopping and site-seeing. Location of the hotel was great too, just over the bridge and you've got all the pubs, shops and restaurants you need.
The steepness of the price of a breakfast - much cheaper places in the town.
The location on the river and being right in the town centre, the helpful and very friendly staff. The room was very clean, tidy and spacious and we had a great night's sleep. We loved being right by the river and bridge, the beautiful ducks and geese as we wandered along the waterside and the fact that we were so close to the centre of town.
The lemon sponge pudding - too heavy and was more like a lemon dumpling. Not to our taste.
Lack of real ale
The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, both on check in and check out. All staff met in the hotel were pleasant and friendly.
The fact that the room overlooked what appeared to be internal corridors and roofs of possibly public rooms (bar/restaurant?) in the hotel - made the room feel slightly claustrophobic and a bit noisy at night.
We liked the location but it was difficult to find initially. The car park was flooded although we found convenient parking nearby. The towels were not adequate and there were no tissues in the room. We did have a good time though and would go again.
location was very good for us room was very nice
paid for car parking but was called early morning to move car due to river so had to leave early and never had breakfast or had time to enjoy the morning before we left was told to park car away from hotel at my own cost
Food was fantastic
Excellent location, comfortable rooms Not our first stay in this hotel
Unable to eat in the restaurant during our one night stay as the hotel had a carvers night and all the meat was gone by 7.30. Stained towel in the bathroom. Had a good reply from Samantha the general manager when I emailed following day
Location, helpfulness of staff to get parking sorted and warned about potential flooding
Nowhere to put our suitcase on other than the bed
The location was brilliant. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be staying here again.
Helpfulness of staff. Comfort and cleanliness of room
What a fantastic hotel, slap, bang next to the river. not a big hotel but perfect. excellent position for shopping, sightseeing and socializing!!!
Having to park in a ncp car park due to flooding cost us £24 for the weekend food was expensive for what you got
Near city centre and on river
Bedroom on ground floor with large lorries passing from 5am
Great location, good food, this is my 3rd visit
This was the worst meal I have ever had in my entire life.
