First evening in the dining room felt the female serving could have shown a bit more interest in her customers. There were no condiments nor napkins on the table.
Meals excellent and the reception staff were extremely helpful.
Location great having rooms with river view.
slightly expensive for type of hotel but understood paying for convenience of location and end of Easter Holiday fortnight
Shabby looking room, holes in curtain linings, small worn bath towels (didn't cover anything)!! no option of feather pillows (requested when booked) mostly shop bought deserts! Cooked breakfast ok choice but no excuse for tinned fruit salad! No cold meats, cheeses, or croissants/danishes
Central location. Size & view of upgraded room (at an extra cost)
Comfortable stay, historic city but rather expensive
The bedbase in the room was broken. When we first reported the problem the man at the reception said no other room was avialble.
When we reported this again to houskeeping, they swapped the mattress, becasuse of the broken base this did not help. however a very helpful ladies in houskeeping and reception found another room for us.
No parking at location, loo roll holder broke & despite reporting it, it didn't get mended.
Location of hotel
Tatty bathroom in need of putting right
Good location comfy bed
As a very anxious driver, I was disappointed there was no parking available.
Staff were very pleasant and always eager to help. The room was very comfortable with a great view.
ROOM COULD'VE BEEN CLEANER BUT NOTHING TOO SIGNIFICANT
CLOSE TO BARS,SHOPS,RESTAURANTS,SHAMBLES TABLE IN ROOM WAS HANDY COSY LIGHTING PLACE TO STORE YOUR LUGGAGE OUT OF THE WAY SPACIOUS ROOM
No breakfast included in price
Close to the city centre
The hotel looked a bit shabby in areas and the room we stayed in had stains down the wall and dirty skirting boards, also cobwebs in the room
Staff were polite good veiw from our window and breakfast was ok
All the staff were extremely cooperative and very friendly. The room was also first rate. I do not normally give fantastic reviews about hotels, but this is one that I would recommend highly to anyone.
Still using tiny TV, very slow wifi, similar type hotel like Travelodge except with free wifi but higher price.
Evening menu was very limited, so even though we would stay here again for B & B we would eat out in the evening. We arrived at lunch time on a hot day and would have loved to have a cool drink or coffee. The bar didn't open until 6pm so we had to go straight back out to find a drink. We thought that having this facility in the afternoon would benefit both the hotel and the customer.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, hot and tasty. The staff were friendly.
The location was great, view of the river outside bedroom window was excellent, staff were lovely, food was good all in all we had a lovely time.
ease of booking, friendly staff, keep your bags for you if you want to explore more after check out, large family room.
The bathroom although clean had a foisty smell throughout our stay. Possibly damp?
Location is key to this hotel. There is nothing wrong with it in the main, but it is not outstanding at anything either. Good value at £153 for two people over two nights. Helpful staff
Central location. Walking distance from all the main landmarks (including the train station), still quiet.
Decor in bathroom dated but clean.
The location was excellent. A pleasant 5 min walk across bridge to City centre. Room was spacious and very clean. Tea & coffee making including biscuits replenished daily.
not enough power sockets.
just about everything.
The kids beds, were just mattresses on the floor either side of the double bed which wasn't ideal moving around. The room needed decorating, the paint was chipping away on the bath, their was damage to parts of the wall as if someone had been punching them. We also found it very noisy with what seemed like very thin walls that meant we could hear conversations, the kettle boiling and people using the toilet in the rooms either side of ours!! Although it was a good location, I wouldn't choose to stay there again!
The location was great for access to the local sites.
Have stayed here several times but noticed this time it is looking very tired and could do with a refurbishment, bath and sink cracked - just needs a general upgade
The location of this Hotel is excellent - very central
pretty much everything.
I did email ahead asking to upgrade to river view as it was my partners birthday & was willing to pay the extra ! I got no reply
