Overlooking the River Ouse, the Park Inn by Radisson is located in the centre of York. It offers air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs, a riverside bar, a modern restaurant and on-site parking.
Score from 1699 reviews Very good
Less than a mile from York’s historic centre, this friendly hotel, built in 1870, retains stained glass windows and a splendid oak staircase. There are good-value rooms and a restaurant and bar.
Score from 1347 reviews Good
Located overlooking the city’s Roman walls, The Hampton by Hilton York is opposite York Railway Station and a 10-minute walk from the historic centre.
Score from 1796 reviews Fabulous
Nestled in a secluded courtyard in the heart of York city centre, this charming hotel is situated 800 metres from York Rail Station and York Minster.
Score from 1296 reviews Very good
Great location, just over 5 min walk to rail station and rail museum, just a short walk across the river to the shops and York Minster no more than a 10 min stroll. WE stayed BB&EM, buffet breakfast was piping hot and plenty of it, Evening meals whole and hearty and very well cooked by chefs Steve and John who are a bundle of laughs and along with their staff are a credit to the hotel. On day of departure as on arrival we were allowed to leave our luggage behind the reception desk for safe keeping until our room was ready / we were ready to leave
WE had a room at what you might call the back of the hotel, road side rather than the front River View. When we go back as I'm sure we will, we will book earlier and request a River View room No fault of the hotel, a previous guest had damaged the bathroom door, and after reporting this to reception, the damage was sorted
My friend and I are in our seventies and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 'Queen'. Our accommodation exceeded expectations......such value for money, with an excellant breakfast included. We were handily placed for shopping, theatre, a river trip and the station. We were more than happy with our choice.
I found it difficult to open our bedroom door with the plastic card. My friend managed it, but I had to ask for help from, firstly, a chamber maid, then secondly, a kindly young male member if staff.
not enough car parking space
Cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Central location, easy to navigate to the town.
love the queens we have bee to loads of other places but like the queens the best
not getting breakfast included in the price. for the people who have spent a lot and who are regulars. shame
the fact that it wasin the center
shower was not working
excellent location with very good breakfast and friendly staff would certainly recomend to everyone.
everything was perfect we really enjoyed ourselves and will stay there again.
lovely room with a river view although at a cost. very convenient to city centre and railway station. friendly staff and well appointed rooms.
being near to ouse bridge it was extremely noisy at night. we we were awakened each night at 2 by very very noisy revellers on or around bridge. this went on till around 4. students attending night club i am led to believe. reported to reception who didnt care saying there was nothing they could do.
The location was perfect. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels replenished. The room was very spacious.
Receptionist wasn't very welcoming she could have shown a bit more enthusiasm. Payment was taken for parking without my consent, i was told we were to pay parking upon arrival however found out it was already payed with the cost of the room without my knowledge.
Thursday's menu - pork dinner was very bland and not enjoyable. All other meals were excellent. Would recommend.
Close to all amenities
Location was excellent, centrally located and close to everything. Within an easy walk to rail station.
It was comfortable.
I was disappointed that the parking is advertised as all day but it is just for the night. We paid £10 at 3.30 and thought we could use the parking until 3.30 the following day. It should state night only.
Beds very comfortable. Spacious room. Breakfast excellent.
drinks machine outside room at top of stairs made terrible noises all the time. Kept waking me up, but would probably only concern our room. Plus hoovering before 7 a.m. in the morn was bit early.
Breakfast starts at 7:30. Not great for early morning meetings or trains
the position was great. Being able to smoke in our room. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I feel that free parking should be a pre-requisite for any hotel.
Good central location
Nice hotel, but worth reading small print: having clicked on a room which clearly stated breakfast was included, on arrival I was told it is £8.50 extra, and the staff's attitude to this was extremely unhelpful.
The location was good
The bed was terrible springs dug in you and the was a big dip in it I woke up with an aching back
The rooms were big and beds very comfy, breakfast was good.good location for everything.would return.
Bathrooms need an update.
The majority of the staff were friendly and attentive. It's within comfortable walking distance of the centre. Food quality & quantity was very good.
It is not the cleanest of places, there was an awful lot of dirt at the base of the bed which was also very worn. Although the towels were changed the bathroom wasn't cleaned, a dirty glass was left there. The settees in the lounge need attention, there was a hole in one of the armrests, another had a hole in the cushion.
Location, price, rooms, free wi-fi
Nothing to dislike
THE LOCATION,STAFF AND THE STUNNING VIEWS
breakfast was good however the poached eggs were hard and forgotten about and had to do some more. room was spacious but a little cold.
bathroom. marks in the bath, dirty arround the edges bathroom. only one shower dispenser. extreemly hot shower that was difficult to regulate. Tracey almost got burnt. lack of sockets in room. one didnt work.
Excellent location close to train station and centre of York.
Staff were a bit 'routine' in their approach but definitely not unhelpful or unresponsive so not a major issue.
