I liked the convenience of walking out of the hotel, over the bridge and then being in the centre of york, close to all that the city has to offer. |

I spent little time in the hotel as I was in York on business but I liked its ambience. I have stayed before and will certainly return. |

The freindly atmosphere and the locality. We had a river view room which was lovely. We have stayed at this hotel in the past. |

Convenient for the city. Clean and friendly. Spacious rooms. Overall very good A tray would have been useful to get breakfast. Had to made several trips to the buffet. The tea was awful. Not much choice in the resturant in the evening. |

A little more attention to detail with room servicing, such as, the soap dispenser was missing over the basin & the underside of the plug was covered in grunge. |

We thought the hotel was ideally situated close to the town centre. The rooms were clean. It was excellent value for the money we paid per night. The decor was a bit tired and could do with updating. |

Generally a nice hotel, well located near the centre of York. Clean, comfortable rooms, with nice soft beds. Enjoyed the English breakfast that came with the room, really helped to start the day of right. Staff were friendly. I would say its a dislike but rather something which could be looked into as a possible improvement in the future. It would be nice to have the hot and cold water mixed and from one outlet. The other would be to be able to check-in a little earlier, at about lunch time which is pretty standard for most hotels. |

Friendly, well run. Good services. Ability to work from room accessing wireless LAN really useful to catch up after busy day. Food in restaurant was poor at best, my meal was cold, rushed and not overly pleasant. |

A nice clean room. Friendly staff. Perfect location to the York City Centre. Walls of the hotel are thin, so it can get a little noisy at times from other rooms. |

The pleasantness of the staff, the willingness to help. Also, the room size and the hotel made us feel very welcome in every respect. Much better than its two star rating made me expect. After asking for a bucket of ice, they only just had enough for us. So if anyone else after us wanted one, they would have ran out. Bits of paint coming off the walls in bathroom and bedroom, and marked walls, but this was hardly visible. Also, although this is slightly picky, the decor could be improved. |
