Great to stay at a Grand Old Dame of a hotel in a very central location. Handy for all the shops and easy to get to the motorway. The building has been kept nicely and is very impressive. The staff were friendly and not overly formal at all. Food was a little upmarket for us but that's ok it's easy to get to lots of other options just streets away. |

Liked the deco style and excellent location next to the station. Friendly staff ay reception, breakfast not as good. Reasonable buffet choice but pre-cooked breakfast never satisfactory in my view. |

Love the decor and the ambience of the place Reception staff very poor. Had little or no time/will to concentrate on even the simplest thing i.e. checking in. May have been an off weekend because have stayed before with no problmes |

Spacious room, good quality breakfast, nice and fresh. Very good staff in the restaurant at breakfast time. Extractor fan in bathroom was on all night. |

clean good value helpful staff movie menu did not work all day and after 15mins of channel hopping i waswelcomed with a bill for £50 !! can not believe there was no warning when switching channels - people could run a huge bill up !! |

I found the room and its facilities the best I have experienced. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet and would recommend the hotel to everyone. |

The room was spacious, nice view and ideal location. Some of the staff were quite rude. The hotel room could have been cleaner and the room was quite cool and the temperature was on max on the air con control. |

good location near to the station i have stayed here before but the room was next to the lift and very noisy so i was not sure.also the staff only booked for one person last time so i got no breakfast,but this time the stay was great with no problems |
