Location and price.
Taking payment at booking with out making it clear
The bed was comfortable
The room was in bas condition structure wise . The staff member was very rude to us cause we over stayed an hour yet still payed 10 pound for that hour . The shower facility was poor and the breakfast . I won't be staying there again
- Location was great - Room was clean
- Poor WIFI connection - Shower facility
excellent location, nice staff, room was smaller but very clean and comfortable, wifi was functional, breakfast were poorer but good for this money
location and clean
room too warm
No cooked breakfast
The location was good 5 min to town centre. Good size room with original features. Staff very friendly & helpful arranged for us to park locally for £10 for 24hrs. Good value for money overall.
Ensuite bathroom was tired needs updating. Room quite dusty in places eg dado rail, skirting boards. Bed uncomfortable springs protruding.
Good location near to everything continental breakfast quite good top floor rooms quite a climb.
For the price I paid, very comfortable and highly recommended
Parking is a big issue. No hotel parking and unless you only need parking between the hours of 8p.m and 9a.m,you pay a lot to park on the street.Having said that,it's also difficult to find available parking slots between the free hours.
2 minute walk from the sea front, short minute walk from the main bus route, and other attractions. Perfect locations, lovely hotel.
Breakfast being only available fro 7:30, which yes sounds early, but when you have an 8 o'clock meeting, you're unable to have a service you've paid for.
There's no shower in the shared bathroom. The bathtub is old, full of dark marks and blocked (disgusting) the bed, the mattress and the bed sheets are all old. The room is very cold and the heating system doesn't work. The room walls are all dirty and nasty. I'd highly don't recommend that place.
Best nights sleep
Great quiet location just back from the seafront about 15mins walk from the station. Room was very clean, with en suite shower and sink, TV and tea and coffee making facilities (and biscuits!). Shared toilet just down the hall, but it was very clean and not a problem. Would stay again.

Never thought a 2 stars hotel could be so good. Great service, beautiful building, spotless.... Simply perfect!. Thanks Martin for your willingness We' ll be back very soon...
Hotel was as expected as far as comfort was concerned. Staff friendly. Standard facilities
Due to the time of my arrival I was driving around for 40mins looking for a parking space. 300yards down the seafront is not ideal. No shower just a shared bath. No cooked breakfast.
Breakfast and location was good. Beds were clean.
Noisy plumbing Window was insecure and right next to scaffolding Curtains was dirty TV didn't work
The location was incredible and for budget hotel it did what was needed. The staff were friendly and although we didn't have it, the option for a free breakfast was there
8 flights of stairs and no lift. Not that there'd be space, but you have to choose between a communal bathroom (which is a no go) or have a 3 bed ensuite room at the top of 8 flights of steep stairs. It got a bit much at times
The location, the room, the staff
Average breakfast, complicated and expensive parking
We had a clean fairly new toilet, sink and shower in our room and biscuits with plenty of tea and coffee and kettle in our room no.11. Great view. Clean bedding, very warm, nice toilet roll and plenty of it, and shower, soap and body wash sachets, daily towel change. Extra bed in room although not needed. I would stay again if i got same deal.
top floor and no lift 4 flights of stairs so not good for older couples or children. No internet and tv was glitchy the whole time as we were on top floor, there was dust on shower/toilet room floor edges, a little grubby in places but not bad, kettle lead didn't reach plug from table, parking expensive, suggest Hove town hall multi storey, £5 per day at time of stay, 20 min walk. Pay online if not near car. I got parking ticket first night as parked on wrong side of permit pole so be aware and read signs carefully. I didn't get to try continental breakfast as felt the climb wasn't worth it.
Location good breakfast friendly staff
The staff where amazing The room was spacious and airy and clean, no hair in the bathroom or room. The cookies where a bonus. The Bedding and pine bed as well as the pine furniture which was farmhouse style, was amazing. Outside views where amazing. Amazing high ceilings.
Well microwave facilities.
The location is great, all shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel room was a lovely old room, with high ceilings and period features. Breakfast was basic, but ok.
The shower in the 'en suite'. First shower for my daughter was fine, but then the hot water seemed to run out. Was either freezing, or too hot to put your hand under. Wasn't keen on the black mould spots on the edge of the shower tray. Toilet seat broken and loose.
Room decent size. Plenty of shops locally. right on sea front which was great and weather was surprisingly mild for October.
Room 6 is at the top of the hotel so with baggage it was difficult. Limited selection for breakfast. Just cheese and ham plus bread, cereals and juices. small dining area so gets full quickly.
