Clean, friendly helpful staff
Breakfast not clarified at the point os booking.
All great value for money
The stairs - all 81 Dry rot in room
Double room 1A small no chair to sit on. No real work table for work on computer
Common bathroom dirty. In the common bathroom just a tub and no shower. Not even a shower hose. So ... No way to Shower. Breakfast is not English breakfast as announced. Staff could be friendlier too !
Clean room and the fact that they gave you vouchers for full English in the restaurant over the road
I liked the location, very close to the beach and to the station in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere; nice and clean room and hotel and good staff.
poor breakfast I wouldn't call continental breakfast, I am afraid. A fair limited choice which didn't match the price per night with breakfast included on low season.
It was a great location and an adequate place to rest your head. Great value for money if you are staying in Brighton for a few days.
The lady was a tad rude when we asked about check in arriving earlier on in the day. We were only going to ask if we could drop our bags off. She finally agreed despite jumping the gun about having to come back later.
Friendly staff, large room, able to leave bags during day in dining room. Continental breakfast nicely laid out,as much as you can eat. Good value for money.
shower tray chipped and uninviting, could hear next door's toilet flush. Stuffy room but had window open.Chandelier large with some bulbs not working, could be replaced with more modern fitting.
NOT HAVING A COOKED BREAKFAST IN HOTEL
Good value for money. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it does the trick; clean rooms, average bed. The room had a bath. The breakfast is a bit basic, but it is included. It was fresh. As we were looking for a cheap, but good hotel, we were happy choosing The Queensbury Hotel
Location. Cleanliness. Breakfast. Big rooms. Staff.
Tiny television. Poor wifi. No parking or discount parking.
If I listed everything wrong with the Queensbury you wouldn't believe me..Faulty Towers would have been so much more preferable to this House of Horrors. The staff are rude, unhelpful and obnoxious. The rooms are tiny, beds small and like lying on boards, bathroom again tiny, mouldy, dank, unwashed, smell and don't work. The stairs creak with every step. Each floor has a few bedrooms off it. The stair case is steep and dangerous to the point where I slipped a number of times on the loose carpet. Our room was on the middle levels. Pity the poor people who have an upper floor room. The car parking was disappointing. We weren't informed about car parking discounts until after the event and was very very expensive. This hotel should be classed as a half star back packers at best.
clean, well situated, helpful staff
I booked a triple room with sea view. No sea view from room 9
View from room. Cleanliness of room, toilet & bathroom. TV was filthy. Bathroom sink all cracked and rusty plug. Mattresses very uncomfortable especially bed by toilet. Breakfast was just toast and cereal (not clear when booking) very cramped breakfast room.
Room was too hot and stuffy and the windows didn't open, causing a lack of sleep
Size of superior double was good, but on the ground floor and everyone walks past so wouldn't recommend.
Check-in at 3pm, yes that is stated and I missed it, however that is ridiculously late. Continental breakfast was too dry to swallow. You can get a voucher for £5 for a full-English across the road but when you get there it costs £4.69. Need a radio in the breakfast room.
We stayed for one night only, but would have loved to stay for longer. We received a warm welcome. The room was really clean and comfortable with great sea views. The continental breakfast was fine- helping ourselves to as much as we wanted. We had a great time- thank you
It was really good value. They had a problem with our booking but this meant they gave us a bigger room for a lower price. The staff were really friendly.
Our room was by a little outside bit at the back and some people were smoking there and the smell was really bad even though the windows were closed.
The hotel is in a prime location in Regency sq.
Unfortunately not the English B&B welcome. Very basic!!
no a/c top floor noisy at night
Price Staff friendly
Our room was at basement and was also the only access to boiler room... so they had to go through our room as there was no more warm water in the hotel...
1 In a handy location, near to most facilities 2 Landing and stairs were well-lit and very clean
1 Room size much too small. 2 Uncomfortable bed - pillows and mattress were of a very ;poor standard 3 Shower room far too small for two adults, sink was miniscule 4 Furniture very old-fashioned and dresser inconsequential (nothing would fit in it!) 5 Definition of `continental breakfast` was very misleading 6 Whilst we were ok with stairs, we had to negotiate three flights of stairs, maybe unacceptable to some people and this should be pointed out to future guests
Location and building.
Needs proper clean( bleach the bathroom), no pressure in the shower room( room number 1), need proper coffee in the breakfast room.
