The Railway Hotel  

The carpets in the room were dirty, the room hadn't been cleaned properly, there were hairs in the wash hand basin drain trap and the shower curtain was disgusting. The bedding was old. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Someone from your organisation should make an unannounced inspection of this Hotel.

Not much of a meet and greet and access only through bar a bit daunting.

Location was good. Near to train station. Shower easy to use - bathroom facilities good also good sized room. Very lucky ..was given a double room instead of the pre booked single room.

Not that friendly at check in via the bar. Room had smell of cigarette smoke. Couldn't get TV to work. Would have preferred another designated entrance for checking in ,,,felt uncomfortable entering the hotel via bar.

Breakfast was good and very good value

The single beds were a bit on the small side, and not very comfortable, but for just one night, I could live with them

I've stayed at the Station Hotel a number of times now, I used to stay in the Man of Groves which has it's own restraunt / golf course / health spa etc... But found it to be over priced and completely soul less/ the staff are terrible, on the other hand the Station is a fantastic little place the pub also has accomadation. Steve the landlord (owner) is great, a larger than life character, to him nothing is a problem. Eric the manager / barman is probably the best guy you could ever wish to have behind a bar, he also deals with the food orders ... Which brings me to the food, good old honest pub food. At a very reasonable price and superb quality, all home cooked in house. If you go you've got to try the Braising Steak !!!! superb... Then there's Ian the night manager, who also cooks the breakfast in the morning. For a young bloke he can rustle up / deliver a fantastic quality breakfast. The rooms a large and always very clean, and well equiped. Not often now a days that you find a good old honest pub / hotel, that does'nt try to be something its not. But stick to what its good at, which is great staff and lovely food.. I can safely say I would highly recommend it to anyone...Top Marks 10/10..

Rooms were clean and comfortable - food on premises if wanted to eat. Pleasant staff and helpful. Plenty of hot water and comfortably spacious rooms

Only negative thing we found was the fact that the mattress did not have a cover only a sheet. This may have been an oversight but would have expected this otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Tal vez la distancia al aeropuerto, comunicación a través de taxi, pero compensa la cercanía a una estación de ferrocarril con destino a Londres.
