The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Particularly liked the night porter facility which added a degree of 'security' to the stay.

Although the room and facilities were clean, the decor and facilities are beginning to look a little "tired". But that is merely personal preference in style, as all the facilities were functional and that is the main thing.

Nice large rooms , friendly staff . convenient for local amenities.

Breakfast finishing at 9:30 on sunday - far too early for saturday night revellers

The staff were very chatty !! And Breakfast was fine.

When booking I stated no steps in fact there was 16. I am disabled and found them difficult, as we were only staying 1 night I did not say anything.

Basic but good. It's a pub with added accommodation and the food is good honest pub grub.

The staff were extremely friendly. Our room was really big.

It was a shame that we couldn't get dinner on Friday night. However, we had the best sausages for breakfast ever!

As we arrived there was a football match on and the place was crowded, which daunted us somewhat but the staff were helpful, friendly and immediately showed us to our rooms. These were clean, bright and adequate. Working out how the television went on was a challenge and I would suggest something in the room to assist, or perhaps we did not find it. Everything worked and the shower was lovely. We went down for breakfast the next day and the staff were really friendly and the lady who was cleaning excelled herself, she left no inch not dusted, cleaned and hoovered. The food was good and quickly served. We were pleased with our stay and would certainly rercommend it for value and service. We would all stay there again.

The stair carpet to the rooms looked a little tired which made me feel what were the rooms like but they were fine. We were daunted coming in and finding the place full of people and not quite sure what we were supposed to do next but we were served and attended to quickly and friendly.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful. The price was good. The hotel is very convenient for the station with a good link into London. Free wifi.

Wifi signal weak in my room, but it was one of the furthest away from main pub.

I booked this hotel because it is close to the station, which has a good link to Stansted Airport.

This place is terrific. Right next to the station. Easy to get to either Cambridge or London! And it is staffed by absolutely AMAZING people. I was thoroughly impressed and had a wonderful experience here.

The location close to Stansted Airport and the Sawbridgeworth Railway Station. Good restaurant with OK menues.

The hotel was very conveniently situated for my visit to family in the area.

Decor could do with updating but was comfortable.

The carpets in the room were dirty, the room hadn't been cleaned properly, there were hairs in the wash hand basin drain trap and the shower curtain was disgusting. The bedding was old. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Someone from your organisation should make an unannounced inspection of this Hotel.

Vriendelijke mensen en vlakbij de antiquecentres waar we naar toe wilden op onze terugreis naar Nederland. Schoon en de pub is intern met goed eten. Aanrader.

Het weer,sneeuw en vorst in maart. Maar dat zijn de weergoden.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The fact that there is a 24 hour night porter is a bonus and the food, whilst not gourmet was reasonably priced and tasty. The room was very spacious.

There is a degree of wear and tear evident in the rooms and the bed spreads particularly look very tired and could do with replacing. Similarly whilst the important things like the sheets and the towels were very clean there are some things that need attention. It was overpriced but that maybe because of the Olympics.
