A lovely three night stay over New Years with a group of friends. Friendly owners and a great house with everything you need.
The house would be difficult to reach in icy or muddy weather because of where it is situated. The wifi connection didn't work whilst we were there but this wasn't a big problem as we were on holiday!
Fabulous hideaway if you like that up, up and away location were the woods are there at your door step. Just to walk out the door and yes the woods and all walking, wildlife is at your feet. Great location to 'dip' into the sea fronts and do the seaside thing, and then 'retreat' back away from, explore other areas and come back to. Large bedrooms BIG, fabulous dinning conservatory, lounge with so many DVD's need to stay longer.Massive bathroom, washing machine, WIFI and on it goes. The warmth and welcome exceeds all by Carol and Simon and local knowledge for walks, and making our stay just wonderful. Not to mention a view to die for in an eve with a glass. Excellent, for outdoor, walking family or couples, and beautiful gardens, badminton, lawns, pond, bar b Que facilities, and all to a lovely high standard and so very lovely.
These comments are not a negative as not a 'didn't' like. The road to location is 'up' track and good driver no problem at all for a 5 - 7 minutes on the last bit. If you like to do pubs, restaurants, and be in the 'thick of it'. Then this is not the place for you. If you love being out and about and snugging up the eve, this is.
Kitchen and washroom facilities were excellent
Hosts were fantastic-very helpful, fun and friendly. Beautiful views, private, quiet and great hiking right out the back door to an old growth sycamore tree and stone watch tower in the paddock. Great for hiking and a true retreat in the forest. Plus very comfy beds and feather pillows!! Learn some Welsh from Simon and Carol!
Simon and carol were very pleasant and friendly. My friends and i were swayed by the beautiful house itself, not to mention the amazing scenery. The house was well-equipped and we had a fantastic time.
Spaciousness Setting in the woods Lovely garden Extremely well furnished
Living room was lovely and spacious Bedrooms were beautiful There was also archery Really good value for money for summer period Nice clean bathroom Conservatory dining room was lovely as well Close to Abergele town Very peaceful
Probably needed some more tea towels for washing up/ drying up Couldn't get all the extra functions to work on the shower
Location, homely, peaceful, comfy beds, close to nature, remoteness, friendly owners, decor of the cottage was amazing and it exceeded our expectations
The cottage is beautiful and the rooms huge. The bathroom is enormous and finished to a very high spec. The house was easy to heat and tastefully decorated in keeping with the style of the cottage. The situation with the views of the mountains is spectacular. Owners are very friendly and helpful.
The drive up to the cottage was hairy in the bad weather. Very narrow, hair-pin bends up a steep hill.
Cottage was very nice. People were pleasent.
Very hard to reach. Up a mountain, long steep hills. Not for weaker cars or disabled people.
A lovely quiet Christmas hideaway. Everything we needed and Simon was friendly and attentive we will be back!
Nothing it was perfect
