Community Run Pub
Proper Pub but couldnt stop as long into the night as i wanted to as had to get up early next day
Pleasant & Helpful Staff Kitchenette in room Quiet Surroundings Lovely Food
Wifi not reliable in room, this would of been helpful as no O2 signal in the area. Storage room for the Pub for Vac etc was next to our room, this was accessed at 8am both mornings (not great for a lie in)
Enthusiastically run by the local community to a high standard
Wi Fi didn't seem to work in the rooms
Very good shower. Plenty of towels and very nice shower and hand gel. Very good heating. Good mattress.
Room 2: Insufficient storing space in bedroom and kitchen. Kitchen too small for self catering (not full kitchen). Being a pub it was very noisy (besides the party for which we got an apology). A lot of stomping around and slamming of doors. Considering that we stayed 3 nights we should have been given the larger room (no 1) with better facilities. The toilet was leaking which was not mended until the 3rd day. All in all I think that we did not get value for money.
We were immediately made to feel very welcome in this community owned and run pub. All the village residents we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. (We can also recommend the service and products of the nearby community shop.)
Nothing really, apart from the low ceiling on the stairs leading to the well-equipped flat but we soon got used to taking care - - especially on the way down. Possibly a slightly longer hand rail?
After a long day on the road and arriving later than planned, we were welcomed most warmly by the friendly staff and patrons at the Raven Inn. When the word spread that we hadn't eaten dinner, Lorna came over and told us she was going into the larder to rustle us up a meal! What a sweetheart! She then discovered Sue (the chef) hadn't left for the evening and took us to the kitchen so we could decide on our meal! They all went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant experience at the Raven! Food was lovely, our room was cozy, clean and dog-friendly! We would stay there again!
It was a bit confusing as to which door to use to exit/enter the pub after closing hours, when our dogs needed a middle of the night walk.Thankfully we didn't open the wrong door and set off the alarm to the pub!
Very friendly people, nothing was too much trouble and my son and I were made to feel very welcome in the bar. Very comfortable bed and good facilities. Excellent value, would happily pay more.
Stayed on a friday night with our two year old. Had a lovely bar meal and our toddler was made more than welcome with the friendly staff. Had to rush off in morning as son ended up in a and e with asthma otherwise would have filled in their survey sheet with excellent excellent excelent
We were greeted with warm friendliness, the food was good and the room was great too
Warm and friendly staff, lovely quiet location
Awesome is all I have to say!
Wifi was not great and menu could be extended but you kinda don't miss it when you have everything else they offer.
Friendly welcome. Atmosphere in pub. Facilities and food.
Lack of somewhere to sit to put boots on outside backdoor. Having to leave after just one night.
Fabulous people and locals will be back had a fantastic time thank you
We booked the king sized room which was spacious, immaculately clean and we were well provided for. The kitchen has a 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster and microwave with tea and coffee provided. We had a couple of comfy chairs and a table and chairs for eating at. The pub has limited opening times, because it is community run. The food in the pub Is excellent. The 2 nights the pub didn't do food, we got takeaways which were about 5 miles away. Offas Dyke path is within walking distance (although a fair walk to get there).
Great location, lovely village with history and super friendly folk. Great view from very comfortable room. Great to have dog with us. Tuesday evening quiz fun and Friday night fish and chips good value. Will definitely stay again when visiting family locally, or for walking.
Wish we had rooms 1 or 2 I think they have more space than 3. We stayed for 4 nights and there was not enough storage space, especially as the dog came too.
Very comfortable with great facilities.
food was excllent
The Rural setting was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bathroom was clean.
The bedroom door would lock, The picture on the website wasn't the room we booked. The bed was old and uncomfortable. There was a band playing outside until gone Midnight so were unable to get an early night sleep.
Nice food and drink, great location, very good value, staff very friendly.

Excellent evening meal. Spacious room and comfortable bed.
Curtains too difficult.
Staff very friendly with delicious meals served at the pub. Accomodation lovely with comfy beds and a small kitchen.
Only downside is the wifi connection was not strong enough in the room and had to go downstairs to use, but that is a minor problem and would not stop me from recommending them.
Accommodation self catering facility & dining
No useable WiFi. Entrance & exit arrangements.
Lovely old village inn serving good food in the evening. We would certainly stay there again and tell other people about it.
Loved everything :) nice food downstairs in the pub. Very friendly and helpful locals. We stayed with r mini schnauzer Molly, there was no extra charge. Beautiful room and it had all you need. Cannot fault it at all.
Nothing. We were 100 % happy in here. Wish could stay and live there :)
