Lovely room with everything you need.
Very remote location down narrow country lanes.
Friendly genuine inn, lovely food, excellent beer. And the dog loved it!
The location was wonderful. Very quaint and quirky pub. Excellent views. Fantastic value for money. Basic, warm and clean. Great base for touring the idyllic countryside nearby.
It is everything a country pub should be! Warm, friendly, welcoming - tastefully decorated - excellent food and drink. Lovely room. Pretty village in great countryside. A great tribute to the hard work and collaboration of the villagers. I look forward to my next visit.
Everything was perfect - would definitely stay again!
the staff the price the location the food
whats not to like great idea to self run community pubs
Very pet friendly and staff at pub and local shop very helpful too.could come and go as we pleased and no walking to pub at night.loggerheads country park just a short drive away.
Location (when seen in daylight), friendly, modern and comfortable
Just because the postal address is Ruthin, doesn't mean it's particularly near Ruthin ;)
Nicely situated off the beaten track with a rural location, but still within reasonable reach of Ruthin. We were given a friendly welcome and found the room facilities to be clean, very adequate and cosy.
We were warned that there was to be a Christmas carol concert in the church opposite that evening, followed by a gathering back at the Inn. There was a fair bit of noise until quite late so be prepared for a disturbed sleep if you retire early.
Location was beautiful and room was cozy :)
Community Run Pub
Proper Pub but couldnt stop as long into the night as i wanted to as had to get up early next day
Pleasant & Helpful Staff Kitchenette in room Quiet Surroundings Lovely Food
Wifi not reliable in room, this would of been helpful as no O2 signal in the area. Storage room for the Pub for Vac etc was next to our room, this was accessed at 8am both mornings (not great for a lie in)
Enthusiastically run by the local community to a high standard
Wi Fi didn't seem to work in the rooms
Very good shower. Plenty of towels and very nice shower and hand gel. Very good heating. Good mattress.
Room 2: Insufficient storing space in bedroom and kitchen. Kitchen too small for self catering (not full kitchen). Being a pub it was very noisy (besides the party for which we got an apology). A lot of stomping around and slamming of doors. Considering that we stayed 3 nights we should have been given the larger room (no 1) with better facilities. The toilet was leaking which was not mended until the 3rd day. All in all I think that we did not get value for money.
We were immediately made to feel very welcome in this community owned and run pub. All the village residents we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. (We can also recommend the service and products of the nearby community shop.)
Nothing really, apart from the low ceiling on the stairs leading to the well-equipped flat but we soon got used to taking care - - especially on the way down. Possibly a slightly longer hand rail?
After a long day on the road and arriving later than planned, we were welcomed most warmly by the friendly staff and patrons at the Raven Inn. When the word spread that we hadn't eaten dinner, Lorna came over and told us she was going into the larder to rustle us up a meal! What a sweetheart! She then discovered Sue (the chef) hadn't left for the evening and took us to the kitchen so we could decide on our meal! They all went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant experience at the Raven! Food was lovely, our room was cozy, clean and dog-friendly! We would stay there again!
It was a bit confusing as to which door to use to exit/enter the pub after closing hours, when our dogs needed a middle of the night walk.Thankfully we didn't open the wrong door and set off the alarm to the pub!
Very friendly people, nothing was too much trouble and my son and I were made to feel very welcome in the bar. Very comfortable bed and good facilities. Excellent value, would happily pay more.
Stayed on a friday night with our two year old. Had a lovely bar meal and our toddler was made more than welcome with the friendly staff. Had to rush off in morning as son ended up in a and e with asthma otherwise would have filled in their survey sheet with excellent excellent excelent
We were greeted with warm friendliness, the food was good and the room was great too
Warm and friendly staff, lovely quiet location
Awesome is all I have to say!
Wifi was not great and menu could be extended but you kinda don't miss it when you have everything else they offer.
Friendly welcome. Atmosphere in pub. Facilities and food.
Lack of somewhere to sit to put boots on outside backdoor. Having to leave after just one night.
Fabulous people and locals will be back had a fantastic time thank you
